This summer was the first time ever that we didn’t travel out of country and all due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With kids at home for summer break, we wanted a change from staying at home and do something as a family.
We decided to go on a staycation in the UAE and in two months we did eight staycations. Yes this year staycation is the new vacation. The best part of the staycation is that you’re helping the economy and plus you are getting unbelievably low and affordable staycation deals. And there is no visa hassle or packing problems or reaching the airport, immigration etc.
All the eight staycation we took were luxury hotels and resorts. Most of them had their own private beach and also offered early check-in and late checkout. All of them included breakfast, free WiFi and we got a discount deal from sites likes Booking.com, Hotels.com, Agoda.com and Trivago.com. Deals/offers are also available on the hotel’s website.
Most of the hotels and resorts in UAE has prioritized the health and well being of their guests. Sanitation process is implemented to the highest standard. We were satisfied with the safety precautions taken in all the venues we stayed.
Our staycation venues were:

1 Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort was our first staycation getaway. We stayed there for 2 nights and 3days, breakfast was included and we got 20% off on food and beverages in the restaurants and bars in the property. They also accepted our late checkout request.
Located on the world famous Palm Jumeirah just off the coast of Dubai, Anantara The Palm has its own private shoreline with stunning views of the Arabian Gulf. We stayed in a lagoon access room. The Thai-inspired luxury resort is beautiful, we felt like we we were in Thailand. We loved the dining options, spa, gym and the swimming pool. The only drawback was we couldn’t swim or step inside the waters as there were too many jellyfish.

2 Five Palm Jumeirah Dubai was our next destination for 1 night and 2 days. It was an all-inclusive offer with breakfast, lunch and dinner and Unlimited drinks for AED 1200 per couple. It is a great offer and most of their 7 restaurants are award-winning venues.
Five Palm Jumeirah is Dubai’s hottest beach resort with posh rooms plus a private beach area, spa and outdoor pools. It has a party atmosphere and if you’re looking to dine, drink, dance and relax, Five Palm Jumeirah is the perfect destination for you. This resort is good for couples and friends rather than families is my honest opinion.

3 Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah in the lovely and peaceful Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah was our home for 2 nights and 3 days. It is a beachfront property surrounded by deserts, mountains and sea and is located adjacent to an 18-hole championship golf course.
Though they’ve 10 restaurants and lounges, when we stayed on their property only 5 were open. We loved our palatial suite with the sea view, spa, kids club and their 2 temperature-controlled pools including their adults-only pool. Waldorf Astoria RAK is an amazing family friendly resort.

4 Palazzo Versace Dubai located at Jaddaf Waterfront is an epitome of luxury. Reminiscent of a 16th century Italian palace, Palazzo Versace Dubai is a Neoclassical masterpiece with subtle traces of Arabian architecture.
Every single piece of furniture and fabric that adorns the hotel’s rooms and suites is designed and tailor made by Versace exclusively for Palazzo Versace Dubai. We absolutely loved our suite, dining options, spa, gym and swimming pool. It is an ultimate luxury retreat.

5 Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Dubai is an Ottoman-inspired luxury resort in Palm Jumeirah. On our staycation for 2 nights and 3 days we felt like we were on a holiday in Turkey.
It is a massive and upscale property with a private beach and also offers complimentary water park tickets. Zabeel Saray has world-class dining options, biggest and most luxurious spa in the region and more. Their beautiful and family friendly property is a must-visit family staycation destination.

6 The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah, Ajman is truly a hidden gem in UAE and it is situated in Al Zorah Nature Reserve in the Emirate of Ajman. The resort has been thoughtfully designed as a retreat where you can switch off and take time out. It has sophisticated and contemporary architecture with wide open spaces and a natural palette that harmonises with panoramic ocean vistas and white sand beaches.
We were impressed by the spacious, light filled room with floor to ceiling windows that opened to a nice balcony with magnificent views. I only wish they had more restaurants otherwise everything was excellent. Oberoi Al Zorah is a must-visit.

It is an all-inclusive resort with breakfast, lunch and dinner and Unlimited drinks. Their facilities are fabulous and so are the dining options. It doesn’t matter whether you are a resident or a tourist, you have to add Rixos Bab Al Bahar to your must-stay list and you’re guaranteed to have a good time.

8 Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai was our eight and final staycation getaway. Located in the waterfront of Pearl Jumeirah, we could enjoy Arabian Gulf’s blue waters and amazing panoramic views from every corner of the property.
The property gives a Greek island vibes. Our room was super chic and the bathroom was massive. We loved the fitness center, spa, swimming pool and beach. When we stayed in their property only one restaurant was operational. It is a great resort for couples, friends and groups, not very family friendly.
