When it comes to Indian restaurant scene, Dubai is the best. You can find some of the best fine dining Indian restaurants to mid-range restaurants and hole-in-the-wall cafes. A few days ago we visited Indian Summer for lunch and we enjoyed our meal.
I had first tried food from Indian Summer at a Diwali party at my friend’s house as they had done catering from there and I was really impressed with the food. Our visit didn’t disappoint us either.
Located in the popular foodie district of Karama, Indian Summer serves authentic North Indian cuisine and Indo-Chinese food. Their menu is vast and varied with great options that can satisfy every kind of taste buds.
The venue is spacious with ample seating area. It has an ambience of a typical Indian restaurant. After being seated, we immediately ordered our drinks. Both the Mango Lassi and Strawberry Margarita were refreshing.
Whether you’re a vegetarian or a non vegetarian, Indian Summer’s menu offers lots of options. Being vegetarians we had veggie dishes only. As we are in a mood for North Indian food, we didn’t order anything from their Indo-Chinese menu. Before our starters could arrive we had the crispy and tasty Masala Papad.
For starters we ordered Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms and Hara Bhara Kabab. Both were very good but a bit spicy. If you love mushrooms, then you should definitely try their amazing cheese stuffed mushrooms.
Next for the main course we had Maa Ki Dal, Paneer Kadai and Roti. The dal had an authentic and homemade flavor, the paneer kadai was rich, creamy and delicious. The freshly made roti went well with the curries.
Ended our lunch with the classic Indian dessert Moong Dal Halwa. It was delectable and moreish. A perfect ending to a delicious and comforting meal.
Overall we enjoyed our experience at Indian Summer. The food, the drinks and the service was fantastic. The pricing is reasonable and affordable. You can order directly from the restaurant or online.
