Attention foodies! The Locale, the neighborhood eatery is now open in the sleek new Andaz Dubai The Palm. My partner and I visited them on Saturday for a relaxed weekend lunch. And we can’t wait to visit them again.
Located in the ground floor of the hotel in Palm Jumeirah, The Locale offers locally-inspired international dishes made with homegrown produce. Expect wholesome, healthy and diverse food in a laid back setting. They also have a retail space inside.
Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the venue has a relaxed vibe. The decor is contemporary, chic and casual. Their al fresco dining area has the gorgeous view of the Palm.
The Locale is a licensed eatery and their drinks menu features cocktails, mocktails, fresh juices, wines, beers and other spirits. The Aperol Spritz that we had was refreshing.
Whether you’re a vegetarian/vegan or a non vegetarian or a pescatarian, The Locale’s menu offers something for everyone. Being vegetarians, we tried only the veg dishes.
We started with the Locally grown watermelon and Persian feta salad with smoked almond. It was fresh, flavorful and tasty. Next we had their signature Avocado Hummus with pita bread. Avocado and hummus- the two best ingredients in one bite. It was the smoothest and creamiest hummus ever. A definite must-try.
Zaatar and Mushroom Dim Sum had an exquisite flavor and taste. We relished it. Another must-try dish in their eclectic menu.
As our side dish we ordered the comforting Kale and roasted pumpkin mac and cheese. Main course was the wholesome and delicious Thai Green Curry with jasmine rice.
Desserts are to be ordered from their pastry counter and they’ve daily specials. We ordered a creative and innovative dessert named as “Taste of Dubai”. It was served in a large tea cup filled with fig and honey cream, cumin chocolate and edible perfume.
Our dining experience at The Locale was fabulous. The quality, flavor, taste, presentation and plating of the food was brilliant. Great food and drinks is complemented by the sublime atmosphere and flawless service.
