All you Karak Chai lovers in Dubai rejoice, Karak Gholam a Kuwaiti cafe chain specializing in authentic Indian Karak chai and Middle Eastern inspired Indian street food has opened an outlet in the lovely Galleria Mall on Al Wasl Road. I visited the cafe this morning for a late breakfast.
Karak Gholam is a trendy Indian cafe with an international twist. The tastefully done interiors of the venue is cosy, colorful and chic. It is a perfect venue to catch up with a friend or to work on the laptop.
Their iPad menu makes it easy and simple to order. The drinks menu consists of cold and hot beverages. The food menu had Indian street food like chapatti rolls, sandwiches etc.

I started off with a freshly juiced Orange Juice. To eat we ordered two types of smashed sambosas- Potato Smashed Sambosa and Butter Chicken Smashed Sambosa. Both the dishes were packed with great flavor and taste.
We also tried the comforting Egg Hamsa and it was served along with Parathas. They had few cake options for desserts in their deli counter, instead of that we ordered their newly introduced Karak French Toast served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
I was apprehensive at first wondering how a karak flavored French toast will taste. But it was surprisingly good. They also had couple of other interesting desserts, maybe I’ll give it a try next time.
Last but not the least, I had Charcoal Karak. It was the classic karak but steamed with charcoal. The flavor was amazing and it is worth trying. If you’re not into tea then you can go for coffee. They also offer freshly brewed coffee.
Overall we enjoyed our experience. If you’re in Al Wasl and fancy a nice cup of karak and Middle Eastern inspired Indian bites, then you can give Karak Gholam a try.
