Fridays are for brunching and last Friday I took my family to Pergolas in Roda Al Murooj for Family Brunch. The Family Brunch is Pergolas Restaurant’s Friday Brunch that happens every Friday from 12:30pm-4pm.
It is an all-day-dining restaurant that is located near the main lobby of the hotel. Roda Al Murooj is a beautiful property that houses some good dining options and Pergolas is one of them.
Pergolas means a garden feature forming a shaded walkway or a passageway, something like a gazebo. It is derived from the Latin word pergula. And true to its name, Pergolas offers a shaded terrace area overlooking the Roda Al Murooj complex.
The restaurant is spacious with clean and contemporary decor. The outdoor terrace offers a lovely view and is a perfect al fresco dining option during winter. It is a family friendly restaurant.
Featuring a host of colorful activities for children of all ages, the little ones can enjoy 4 hours of entertainment including bouncy castle, pizza making, arts and crafts workshop, PlayStation and lots more. A professional kids entertainer will be on hand to supervise all the activities.
Pergolas offers international buffet in the morning, afternoon and night. A la carte option is also available throughout the day. Their family brunch features a wide range of international buffet and there is something for everyone.
Their buffet offered a wide variety of salads, cheese, breads, seafood, sushi, grills, appetizers, mains and desserts. The Indian and Arabic section of the buffet was good. Our favorite section was the live cooking counter.
Dessert lovers will not be disappointed as there was everything from cakes, pastries, puddings, tarts, ice creams to traditional Arabic and Indian sweets. The highlight of the dessert section was the chocolate section.
Overall we had a good experience. We liked the variety of food that was offered in the family brunch. If you’re looking for a family friendly buffet brunch on Fridays in Downtown Dubai, then you can give Pergolas a try.
