I love a good business lunch deal and as I was in the business hub of DIFC in Dubai, popped into KIZA Restaurant & Lounge to try their newly launched business lunch with an African twist.
Located at Emirates Financial Tower in DIFC, KIZA offers Pan African cuisine from all the regions of Africa. They have a small and simple business lunch menu apart from the a la carte menu.
KIZA is a fine dining venue that features a spacious restaurant, lounge and bar. The African-inspired interiors of the place looks fabulous. Loved the vibrant photographs of different countries from the African continent that adorned the walls of the venue.
From 12 noon to 4pm, Sunday to Thursday, Kiza offers business lunch that consists of one starter, main course and a beverage. All for just AED 40. Within 20 minutes, lunch is ready and served.
The beverage offered is a soft drink or packaged juice and I opted for ginger ale. For the starter I had the Avocado Salad which was disappointing. The avocado salad was not fresh and had too much mustard sauce.
I wanted to have Bundu Burger for main course and it was not available on that day, instead I had the Grilled Chicken with Jollof rice and grilled corn. Upon my request, they changed the chicken for veggies as I wanted to have a light lunch. It was a comforting and satisfying meal.
My overall experience was ok and not that great. The service was slow and not very helpful.
