Purani Dilli’s Second Outlet is Now Open at Four Points by Sheraton SZR

After the popularity of Purani Dilli’s first outlet in Mankhool-Bur Dubai, a second outlet has been opened in Four Points by Sheraton on Sheikh Zayed Road. Couple of days ago we visited the newest outpost for dinner and came back impressed with the lively venue, delicious food and impeccable service.

Located in the Mezzanine Floor of the hotel, Purani Dilli has beautiful Indian inspired decor with a great view of the bustling Sheikh Zayed Road. It is a good place to share a meal with family and friends. They’ve live Indian music on the weekends. Though the music was good, it was too loud.

The menu of this outlet is same as their first outlet in Mankhool, there is no change whatsoever. You can expect flavorful and authentic culinary tradition of Delhi, the capital of India and the birthplace of Mughlai cuisine.

Headed by Chef Afroz Alam, their food menu features good options for vegetarians and non vegetarians. We started off with drinks first- a glass of refreshing Lassi and a glass of chilled Indian Beer.

For starters we had a platter of chaat that consisted of Dahi Bhalla and Sev Dahi Puri and Kebabs like Subz Galawati Kebab, Dahi Kebab and Paneer Tikka. All the starters were delicious and rich in flavor, but our absolute favorite was the Subz Galawati Kebab. A must try!

For main course we ordered Dal Makhani, Lehsuni Palak, Mixed Vegetable Handi, Tarkari Biryani and an assortment of freshly made Indian breads/Roti.

The dal makhani was rich and creamy, lehsuni palak is a dish that you will not find in most of the restaurants here and it comes totally recommended. Vegetable Handi was simple yet tasty and the biryani was perfect.

We tried a trio of indulgent desserts like Shahi Tukra, Chukander E Afroz and Kulfi with Falooda. The kulfi with falooda was the best among the three desserts and its worth ordering.
