My family and I needed a break from our busy lives to rest, relax and recuperate in a serene and refreshing place. So we decided to go on a weekend getaway to Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet, a family friendly four-star property.
Located on top of the majestic Jebel Hafeet Mountain at the height of 3000 feet, Mercure Grand is a unique mountain oasis resort with stunning views over the wadis, dunes and the oasis city of Al Ain.
Driving down from Dubai, it took us one hour and fifty minutes to reach the hotel. Though the property is dated and needs a makeover, still it is well maintained. The Lobby looks nice and green with fanciful foliage.
The check-in and check-out was quick and smooth. Our Deluxe Golf View room was spacious and featured a double size bed with two side tables, a sitting area for two people and a coffee table, work desk with chair and a small balcony with golf view.

Bathroom
The bathroom was big and it had a bathtub, wash basin, toilet area and toiletries like shampoo, soap, conditioner and body lotion.
Facilities in the hotel
Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet has 115 rooms and 9 suites. The property is surrounded by palm groves. There are great amenities both indoors and outdoors. Inside the venue, there are Meeting Rooms/Banquet Steam Rooms, Spa, Sauna and Gym.
Outdoor amenities include Mini Golf Course, Swimming Pools, Kids Play Area surrounded by Water Slides, trees and water fountains.
Dining Options
Mercure Grand houses a casual cafe/restaurant Orient Cafe, Mediterranean-themed all-day-dining restaurant Le Belvédère, Arabic restaurant Al Khayma, pool bar and restaurant Eden Rock and Lawrence’s bar for drinks and live entertainment. We only visited Le Belvédère during our stay, they had a selection of international dishes and live cooking stations.
Our stay at Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet was comfortable and satisfying. It is a great place for a relaxing getaway with family and friends.
