China Bistro is the brand new Pan Asian and Chinese restaurant to hit up the shores of Dubai. It is the brainchild of Foodlink India and has outlets in Indian cities of Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Dubai is their first venture abroad.
Located in the bustling streets of Karama, the foodie district of Dubai, China Bistro is a chic and casual bistro-style venue. It is a spacious place with a blend of modern and Chinese-inspired interiors.
The sublime setting, mellow lighting, cool music and lovely tableware makes it a perfect venue to share a meal with family and friends. We visited them yesterday for lunch and enjoyed our culinary journey.
China Bistro’s menu is vast and varied with a wide range of dishes. It has good options for vegetarians, non vegetarians and seafood lovers. Being vegetarians, we tried their veg dishes and were happy with the veg options available in the menu.
To beat the heat, we started off with two of their refreshing drinks- Mojito and Exotic Iced Tea. Their beverage menu features an amazing array of drinks and there is something for everyone.
While waiting for our food, we were served condiments like Pickled Veggies and Kimchi. Some of the dishes we ordered were:
Starters
Their Crispy Lotus Stem with Black Pepper & Curry Leaves was light and crunchy whereas the Water Chestnuts & Corn in Lettuce Cups could have been more flavorful.
The authentic and flavor-rich Pak Choi & Vegetable Dumplings were extremely delicious. An absolute must-try. We also liked their Spicy Avocado Roll and the exquisitely delicious San Choy Bao.
Mains
Thai Green Curry is one of my all time favorite curries and when I saw it in China Bistro’s menu, I had to order it. And the green curry was fragrant, creamy and oh-so-flavorful. The Steamed Jasmine Rice made a perfect combination with the Thai green curry.
The simple yet tasty Wok Tossed Hakka Noodles was comforting. We also relished the moderately spicy Vegetable Dumplings Chili Soy.
Desserts
The desserts we tried were Steamed Coconut Dumpling with Honey Butter Sauce, Hot Chocolate Rolls and Buddha’s Fu. Each and every dessert were outstanding and tasted utterly delightful.
Overall, we had a fabulous dining experience. The plating, the creativity, the taste and flavor of the food was great.The good food and drinks were complemented by flawless service and relaxing atmosphere. We also liked the fact that the pricing was reasonable.
