Jones The Grocer Opens in The Dubai Mall

Last week of March in Dubai has been very interesting and exciting as many new F & B concepts were launched. And I was lucky enough to attend some of them. Aussie gourmet food cafe and restaurant Jones The Grocer opened a new outlet in town and I attended their exclusive launch event.

The newest Jones The Grocer outlet is located on the Ground Floor of The Dubai Mall and its terrace offers stunning Dubai fountain views. You can expect an elaborate breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.

Their Dubai Mall venue has modern interiors with inviting vibes. A great place to share a meal with family and friends. I especially liked their outdoor dining area which also has a play area for the kids.

As it was a launch event, we had a set menu for lunch. We were served fresh Juices as our welcome drinks. The set menu had vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Being vegetarian, I had only the veggie dishes.

Appetizers

Delicious and addictive Roasted Caramelized Spicy Nuts were served in the beginning, followed by refreshing Burrata and flavorful Smoky Aubergine Dip.

Salad

Black Quinoa Kale & Roasted Sweet Potato Salad was served next. It was a wholesome dish that was not only healthy but delicious too.

Main Course

Truffle Mushroom Risotto was the only vegetarian option in the set menu. Though I’m not a fan of risotto, I tried a few spoonfuls and it was alright.

There were sides like Truffle Parmesan Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Avocado & Tomato Salad and Sautéed Mixed Mushrooms.

Desserts

Dessert was an indulgent affair and we had Valrhona Chocolate Cake, Lemon Meringue Tart, Valrhona Chocolate Pecan Caramel Bar, Carrot Cake and Valrhona Jivara Chocolate Éclair. Each and every dessert was deliciously different and tasted utterly sinful. Yes, desserts were the best part of the set menu and it was everyone’s favorite.

Ended my lunch with a cup of Flat White Coffee.

As always Jones The Grocer never disappoints when it comes to food, beverages, service or atmosphere. And it is a great new addition to The Dubai Mall dining scene.
