We visited the gorgeous Bluewaters Island recently and while we were there, made a quick stop at London Slide for dinner. It is a cute venue offering sliders and baos. London Slide is from the team behind The London Project and features London-inspired food in a fun and funky atmosphere.
London Slide is located at the foot of the iconic Ain Dubai on Bluewaters Island. It has an indoor and outdoor seating area. This vibrant space has Rich Simmons uniquely London-esque art plastered on its walls. We loved the retro vibe of the place.
The menu of London Slide is simple and straight to the point and offers mini burgers, baos, sides and beverages. Being vegetarians, we tried all the veggie dishes and loved it.
Started off with two of their refreshing mocktails- Pineapple Lavender Sparkler and Kiwi Ginger Mule.
From their slider menu we ordered the delicious and moreish Covent Garden. It consisted of vegetable rosti, cheddar cheese, lettuce, red onion, tomato, fused with chipotle and tzatziki sauces. All their sliders come in pairs with a side of fries.
Tofu Bao is the only veggie option for vegetarians and it had crispy fried tofu stuffed in a bao with pickled vegetables, mushrooms and Tonkatsu. The Tofu Bao was crisp and packed with exquisite flavors. Like the sliders, baos also comes in twos.
We ordered the addictive Sweet Potato Fries with truffle mayo and the super delicious Crumbed Camembert with cranberry sauce as our side dishes.
Ended our dinner with Salted Caramel Ice Cream and Apple Pie & Cheesecake Ice Cream.
Our dining experience at London Slide was just fabulous. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the service was great.
