Last few years has seen a big surge in sushi restaurants in Dubai. Though my love for sushi started a bit late, I’ve few sushi restaurants and bars that I keep going back again and again. Recently I was introduced to Sushi Art when I was invited to an exclusive preview of their new menu.
Sushi Art is a Japanese restaurant that is popular for deliveries as well as dining in the restaurant. They’ve many outlets in Dubai, I visited their The Beach branch in JBR.
The location is lovely and the restaurant has simple and minimalistic decor with indoor and outdoor seating area. As it was raining on the day I visited them, I sat indoors which has a cosy atmosphere.
Sushi Art is known for their beautifully crafted sushi, sashimi and maki rolls. Their menu also features miso soup, salads, fresh spring rolls, ceviche, poke bowls, desserts and drinks. The options for vegetarians are limited, but good. Being a vegetarian, I tried most of the veg dishes in their menu and I must say, it was fantastic.
For cold beverages, they don’t make fresh juices, but you can pick up their bottled organic drinks and iced tea.

My partner and I began our dinner with delicious Spicy Edamame, wholesome Quinoa Salad and Carrot Salad with Citrus Dressing. The spicy edamame and quinoa salad comes totally recommended. But we didn’t like the carrot salad as it was boring and bland.
Next we tried all of their veg rolls like Avocado & Cheese, Maki with Tabbouleh, Veggie Roll, Cucumber Sesame and Cucumber & Avocado. Each one of them was distinctly different, flavorful and oh-so-delicious.
After feasting on their amazing rolls, we ordered Mochi in passion fruit and green tea flavors for dessert. It had authentic flavor and taste. We ended our evening with a pot of refreshing Japanese Green Tea.
We enjoyed our dining experience at Sushi Art. I only wish that they had more veggie items in their menu. Sushi Art is a must-visit spot for all sushi lovers.
