Bombay Dreams- The New Vegetarian Restaurant in Town

Bombay Dreams Restaurant Dubai

The vegetarian and vegan restaurant scene has been booming in the last couple of years in Dubai and being a vegetarian, I can’t be more happier. So glad that we have many good restaurants to visit now.

Last week, my friends and I visited Bombay Dreams, a vegetarian multi-cuisine restaurant situated in Oud Metha. Bombay Dreams was launched three months ago by Mr.Kalpesh Jain, an entrepreneur and passionate foodie.

The interiors of the restaurant is simple and basic. We sat in the table facing the bustling Oud Metha Road. It is a good venue to share a meal with family and friends.

Their menu features contemporary Indian cuisine as well other cuisines like oriental, Lebanese, Italian and continental. They have an elaborate menu and we were spoilt for choice.

The disappointing factor in the menu was that there was no fresh juices or mocktails, only soft drinks were available. We ordered water and ditched the unhealthy soft drinks.

As an amuse bouche we were served Kachori. But though the kachoris tasted okay, but they were cold.

Kachori

Starters

The colorful and flavorful Beetroot Tikki was spicy and utterly delightful. Next we ordered their Batata Hibiscus which had baby potatoes, hibiscus flower and strawberry chutney. It was an innovative and creative dish. The Bird Eye Chili Paneer was another amazing starter that we enjoyed. All the three starters we tried were deliciously different and packed a flavorful punch.

Kofta

Mains

The classic Dal Makhani was perfectly cooked and had an amazing homemade flavor. We also liked the rich and creamy Lauki Kofta. The breads like Roghani Naan, Zaatar Garlic Naan and Zafrani Lachha Paratha were hot out of the oven and went perfectly well with the curries.

Mongolian Hot Pot

One of our favorite dishes at Bombay Dreams was Boti Curry served on top of Roomali roti. The Boti curry was vegan and made with soya chunks. We also tried their Mongolian Hot Pot and it was a comforting dish.

Lotus Rabdi

Dessert

For dessert we ordered Jalebi with Lotus Rabdi. It was a joy to dip the crispy Jalebi inside delicious lotus Rabdi.

Overall, we enjoyed our lunch at Bombay Dreams. The taste, the flavor, the creativity and plating of the food was good. The pricing is reasonable and affordable. The service need to be improved.
