Our first Friday brunch of the year was the Britannia Brunch at The Restaurant in Address Downtown in the stylish district of Downtown Dubai. We couldn’t have chosen a better brunch than this brilliantly British concept.
The bright and beautiful venue, The Restaurant hosts the British-inspired Britannia Brunch every Friday from 1pm to 5pm. There are 2 packages, with and without alcohol.
The settings of the dining room in The Restaurant is gorgeous and elegant. You will get to s British paraphernalia like red phone boxes, Mini Cooper cars, Union Jack table mats etc. The spectacular and unbeatable view of Burj Khalifa from their terrace enhanced our brunch experience.
Let’s start with the drinks first….
There is free flowing drinks from cocktails/mocktails to all kinds of spirits. Yes, there is also a Gin and Tonic bar, Pimms counter and Cocktail Trolley. You can choose your favorite tipple and enjoy the unlimited offering.
Now coming to the food…
The starters are served buffet style and it featured a raw bar, charcuterie, salad bar, bread, cheese board, sushi and hot signature bites like sliders, hot dogs and wings.
The mains and sides were served directly to our table family-style. It consisted of roast of the day, rotisserie chicken and salmon en croute served with Yorkshire pudding, roasted veggies, mashed potatoes and mashed green peas. Being vegetarians, we were offered veg alternatives like spinach and ricotta tortellini, greens, roasted seasonal veggies and sides.
For desserts we were spoilt for choice as they served their signature desserts like Eton Mess, Apple crumble, Sticky Toffee pudding, Lemon Tart and Ice creams to our table. Apart from that we could also get more desserts from their dessert display.
Finally….
The Britannia Brunch is a fabulous brunch. You can expect most of the British classic fare. We had a relaxed time. Definitely worth adding to your weekend calendar.
