I love going back to my favorite hotel Hyatt Regency Dubai in Dubai’s historical and heritage-rich district in Deira. The spectacular sea view is another incentive to visit Hyatt Regency. This time we visited the hotel for dinner at Miyako, the pioneer of Japanese food in Dubai.
Miyako is UAE ‘s first authentic Japanese restaurant and it will be celebrating its 31st Anniversary on October 23rd 2018. Here’s the good news- As part of the celebration Miyako will offer 31% off on food and beverage during lunch and dinner hours from October 23-31, 2018.
Yesterday when we visited the award-winning restaurant for dinner, it was packed with UAE residents as well as Japanese tourists.
The remodeled Miyako makes you feel like you’re in a hip venue in downtown Tokyo. It is divided into three parts-a private, live Teppanyaki room, main dining area with a sushi bar and an intimate Tatami room. There is also an open kitchen with a teppanyaki counter, Yakitori grill and a Sake & Sochu bar.
We had our dinner at the main dining area where we started with the drinks first. Loved their signature cocktail Sake Cooler and traditional Japanese beverage Shochu.
While we were looking into their food menu, they served us Spinach Gomaae or Japanese spinach salad dressed in a nutty aromatic sauce. It was a healthy and tasty salad.
Being vegetarians, we ordered only veg food, and we were not disappointed with the veggie options. As our appetizer, we ordered crispy Vegetable Tempura, fresh Sushi Rolls(avocado & cucumber) and silky textured Agedashi Tofu. The appetizers were flavorful and delicious.
For our main course we ordered Teppanyaki Style Assorted Vegetables, Udon Noodles and Garlic Fried Rice. Each of the three dishes had distinct and authentic flavors which were made fresh and served to the table.
To indulge in our sweet cravings, we ordered their sublime dessert Ujikintoki Ichigo. It consisted of shaved ice with green tea ice cream and condensed milk. We relished it.
Ended our dinner with cup of soothing and relaxing Green Tea.
A visit to Miyako is a must for all Japanese food lovers. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the service is excellent.
