Hello September! The new month began with a visit to a new restaurant- Prime Grill. It is the newest venture of American celebrity chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Michael Mina. He has over 40 restaurants worldwide.
Prime Grill is a contemporary American steakhouse located in the stylish Galleria Mall in Al Wasl Road. Their menu is inspired by traditional steakhouses featuring seasonal selections from the garden, sea and the land. You can expect salads, burgers, seafood, wood-fired meats and more.
The modern interiors of Prime Grill is sauve, sophisticated and supremely cool. It is a bright and welcoming space with gorgeous tableware. A great new addition to the restaurant scene in Dubai.
For a vegetarian like me, the options are limited, but nevertheless a vegetarian or even a follower of vegan diet can have a decent meal.
Our meal starts with a complimentary basket of Bread and warm Butter.
And we ordered two of their speciality mocktails- PG Cooler and Pomegranate Limeade to drink. Both our drinks were tasty and super refreshing.
Appetizer
From their garden section of the menu we ordered Avocado. It was a unique and extremely delicious dish and had pickled market veggies, fried walnuts and avocado topped with kataifi. I’ve not seen this particular dish in any menu in the restaurants I’ve visited in Dubai and their Avocado is not to be missed.
Artichoke-Spinach Dip was our next appetizer from their land section of the menu. The creamy dip had a yummy three cheese blend and it was served with crunchy olive oil crostini.
Mains
Huge Falafel Burger loaded with roasted onion, tomato, iceberg lettuce and cucumber yogurt made for a comforting main dish. It was served with a side of well-seasoned Herb French Fries.
Along with the burger, we also ordered the decadent Truffle Mac & Cheese and Glazed Mushroom as our side dish.
Dessert
Without looking at the menu I had already ordered our dessert when I saw guests in the next table having Chocolate Cookie Sundae. It looked so amazing that I asked our server what it was and went ahead and ordered it. Their incredible Chocolate Cookie Sundae contained chocolate sponge, salted caramel sauce, cookie dough bonbon and chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream. Each bite of this glorious dessert took us closer to heaven.
We ended our lunch with a strong and freshly brewed Macchiato.
Prime Grill offers fantastic food for not just meat lovers but for vegetarians and vegans too. The service and the atmosphere complemented the good food. I’m sure I’ll be going back for more.
