I don’t know about others, but I get really bored in the middle of the week especially around Tuesday/Wednesday. This Tuesday I decided to go to a cool place and chill out with a drink or two. So decided to go on a date night with the hubs.
Choosing the place was easy as Dukes Dubai in Palm Jumeirah is one of our favorite hotels and we had not visited their Dukes Bar which is renowned for its martinis. Early in the evening, we booked a table for two at Dukes Bar.
As we walked into the bar, it was almost empty and quiet, which was perfect for an intimate evening. The decor of Dukes Bar is stunning and elegant. The highlight of the venue is the well-stocked bar and the gorgeous chandeliers.
A bit later there was live jazz music which was amazing.

We started off with two of the Dukes cocktail selection- Quintessential and Strangway. Both the cocktails were perfectly mixed and tasted refreshingly good.
While we ordered our next round of drinks, we relished the crispy Vegetable Tempura, delightful Porcini Arancini and the moreish Fried Brie with fig chutney.
It was time to try their famous Martini, we get to choose our favorite gin or vodka and their bartender will make the martini. While the hubs chose vodka for his martini, I chose gin. It was one of the best ever martini we had.
We enjoyed our evening at Dukes Bar. Their sublime cocktails and martinis are a must-try. The bar food was delicious too, a bit more variety would have been great. I only wish the place was a bit more lively.
