When people ask me if I am a coffee person or a tea person, it is difficult to give them an answer. I love both coffee and tea, my morning is incomplete without coffee and my evening is dull without a cup of tea. So when I heard that, there is a speciality coffee house that serves great coffee and freshly brewed tea, I immediately planned a visit.
Kava & Chai is the new speciality coffee house that has opened in the heritage hub of Al Seef, with stunning views of Dubai Creek.
The concept of Kava & Chai according to their team:
Kava & Chai brings traditional family recipes and flavors to your corner coffee house. Our unexpected combinations and traditional offerings take ‘melting pot’ to a whole new level. We fuse the ingredients found on Middle Eastern spice racks and the gardens and make original concoctions with authentic roots.
The traditional Arab inspired interiors of Kava & Chai looks elegant. The venue is cosy and inviting with indoor and outdoor seating area. It is a great place to sit and work on your laptop and to meet up with friends or colleagues.
We started off with their super refreshing Berry Tea which was perfect for the summer heat. While sipping on our drink, our healthy, wholesome and tasty Chickpea & Lentil Salad arrived. We loved their many salad selection, there is something for everyone.
As our main course we had the Veggie & Pine Nut Wrap which was not only nutritious but delicious too.
Kava & Chai has bakery products like croissants, muffins, cookies, cakes along with sweet treats. Their Cinnamon Roll was just yum and it was our absolute favorite. The vegan Peanut Butter Brownie that we tried was not moist enough, and didn’t taste great either. We also tried the sinfully delightful Red Velvet Oreo Cake.
Along with our desserts, we ordered their signature Kava & Chai Latte. It is a mixture of both coffee and tea. But I felt it had more of a tea flavor.
We loved Kava & Chai and wouldn’t hesitate to visit them again. Are you obsessed with coffee or tea? Either way, you’ll be happy when you visit Kava & Chai.
