Don’t we love a cafe or a restaurant that gives us countless options! Recently I came across one such place in old side of Dubai and the name of this place is Silver Beach Cafe.
Located on the shores of the charming Dubai Creek in the Al Seef district, Silver Beach Cafe is a part of Silver Beach Entertainment and Hospitality Group. It has 12 branches internationally and the Dubai outlet is their first foray in UAE.
Silver Beach Cafe offers two levels of dining space in an European bistro inspired set-up. The interiors of the cafe is bright and beautiful. The upper level has a bar and shisha lounge.
Their menu offers countless options. It features classic as well as modern European dishes and some Asian inspired dishes. We also tried few dishes from their newly launched Indian menu. As a vegetarian, I was happy with their menu selection.
We dined at the ground level of the restaurant. We were keen to try their cocktails, but unfortunately they only serve alcohol on the upper floor. So instead we ordered Orange Juice from their juice selection. The juice was not fresh, it seemed like a package juice. No wonder, our server got the juice within 2 minutes.
Starter
Salads are the best way to start a meal and we ordered their Beach Avocado Salad. Though the presentation looked good, but the salad wasn’t good. There were just 3-4 slices of avocado and there was hardly any dressing.
The next starter Green Herbed Baby Potatoes was excellent. It had grilled baby potatoes in a freshly pound herb paste that was topped with a pimento pepper salsa. Whether you are a vegan or a vegetarian or a non vegetarian, you’ll love this.
Mains
Vegetable Thai Curry served with steamed Jasmine Rice was another amazing dish that we liked. It had a great flavor and taste.
It was time to try their Indian menu, we ordered Dal Makhani which was creamy and had a homemade taste. The Shahi Vegetable that had a melange of veggies in Indian masala was delicious too. Butter Garlic Naan went perfectly well with both the curries.
Dessert
The Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding was warm, moist and utterly delicious. I can visit Silver Beach Cafe just to have this dessert. Yes, it comes highly recommended. We ended our dinner with a cup of refreshing Green Tea.
Overall, we had a good experience. I wish the venue was bit more lively. I guess it will get better with time as the cafe is still new.
