Mitts & Trays- City Walk Dubai

Mitts and Trays at City Walk Dubai

City Walk in Dubai is home to some of the best restaurants and cafes in town. And it also happens to be my favorite lifestyle destination and my most frequented place in Dubai. From the time I laid my eyes on Mitts & Trays, I’ve been intrigued by it and finally visited them for dinner last night.

Mitts & Trays is a homegrown concept founded by patron chef Amna, a passionate baker and creative entrepreneur. She believes in the simple ethos of ‘food that is good for you’. Amna has created a concept that blends gourmet quality with warm homey approach.

You can expect fresh, wholesome meals served straight from the oven to the table at Mitts & Trays. Everything is made fresh daily in the restaurant. And by using the purest natural ingredients.

Homegrown concepts in UAE

The homey and cosy atmosphere at Mitts & Trays, made us feel at home. The restaurant has an ambience of a living room of your house with sofas, dining table and a corner for books.

We loved the UAE inspired picture frames that adorned the walls of the restaurant. In the center of Mitts & Trays is a large communal table.

Mitts & Trays has a wonderful menu that offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. It also offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Their wholesome food is not only delicious, but also healthy and nutritious.

Pesto butter

They recently added few new items to their menu. We tried some of their old classics as well as the new dishes. We were offered complimentary Milk Bread which was freshly baked and hot out of oven with Pesto Butter.

Blueberry Rose mocktail

For drinks we ordered two of their mocktails- Rose Blueberry and Passion Fruit Mint & Ginger Ale. Both our drinks were tasty and refreshing.

Appetizers

Kale and walnuts salad

Their M & T Burrata is a must-try for all burrata fans. It had super fresh burrata with heirloom tomatoes and fresh figs dressed in their own pomegranate balsamic dressing.

Kale & Walnut Salad is their signature salad made with baby kale, arugula, crumbled feta cheese, dried cranberries, candied walnuts drizzled with balsamic fig dressing. We loved it.

M & T Batata Bravas was comforting and very addictive.

Mains

Gnocchi pomodoro

We ordered the Wild Mushroom Roll served with paprika-spiced sweet potato skinny fries which is new in their menu. It was an absolute delight.

Gnocchi Pomodoro was rich and creamy. The tomato sauce with herbs was full of great flavor.

Dessert

Rose Pistachio cake

Yay, I finally tried their epic mini Rose Pistachio Cake. Not only does it look incredibly pretty, it is moist, nutty and lip smackingly delicious. I can make a trip to Mitts & Trays just for this cake.

We also tried two of their Tres Lèches cake- Classic Tres Léché and Pistachio Tres Lèche which tasted divine.

They’ve such amazing desserts that we felt like having everyone of them.

Spanish latte

We ended our dinner with thick, creamy Spanish Latte.

Our dining experience at Mitts & Trays was outstanding. The presentation, quality and the taste of the food was excellent. The service was impeccable, the staff took such good care of us, a big shout out to them. Absolutely loved Mitts & Trays and can’t wait to visit them again.
