There is one hashtag that I am using frequently right now and that is #sorrynotsorry and this same hashtag applies to my outdoor lounge obsession. At least once or twice a week I am visiting an outdoor lounge and enjoying the weather as long as it lasts.
Dubai’s weather is finally getting cooler, which is amazing for many people like me who love lounging outdoor. I can’t think of a better way to end my evening than having a drink or two in an outdoor lounge with good music and fresh breeze.
On Thursday evening, I was back at my favorite Media One Hotel in Dubai Media City and this time to check out Garden On 8 that is situated in the 8th Floor.
Garden On 8, the gastropub, sports bar, lounge and terrace had a complete makeover and reopened recently.

Garden On 8 is reopened newer and bigger than ever and the garden has come inside! Follow your favorite sports teams from around the world on one of our big screens accompanied by American sports bar classics and craft ales, lagers and ciders.
Garden On 8 is a spacious venue with indoor and outdoor seating area. It resembles a traditional pub garden, we loved the touch of greenery all around the venue.
The indoor bar looks pretty and inviting. On Thursday they had a live DJ playing on the deck. Huge plasma television sets dotted the walls of the lounge. The atmosphere of the lounge was casual yet classy.
The outdoor terrace area has a bar and wooden bench style of seating. When we visited them it was completely packed.
Their drinks menu features a good variety of drinks- you name your drink and they have it. As for the food menu, it is the usual pub grub and does not offer much variety.
I ordered a glass of Red Wine where as the hubster ordered a pint of Paulaner German Beer. We were impressed with their drinks menu and especially with their selection of beers and ciders.
From their small selection of food menu, we ordered only the veg dishes as we are vegetarians. For vegetarians, the food options are limited.
We ordered few dishes in the food menu to have along with our drinks. We started off with Smoked Mozzarella Sticks with spicy tomato dip. Its a classic pub grub and you cannot go wrong with that.
Next we ordered the Pepper & Parmesan Fries which was tasty and addictive. When I saw the Rustic Greek Salad in their menu, I couldn’t resist it as Greek Salad is one of my favs and we had to order it. The salad was fresh, crunchy and tasted great.
As our mains we ordered The Low Carb Chunky Veggie burger. It was a healthy bun -less burger with a lettuce covering. The low carb chunky veggie was not exceptional but it was not bad either.
While munching on the bar bites, I also had one of their signature cocktails- Bramble, a gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and blackberry liqueur based cocktail which was fantastic. This cocktail had a perfect balance between sweet and sharp.
To sweeten our palate, we had the Choco Brownie that was served with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The Brownie was neither fresh nor moist.
Overall, we enjoyed our evening at Garden On 8. We especially liked the drinks, atmosphere, music and service. The food requires improvement.
Garden On 8 is a great place to hangout with friends and colleagues. Now with the garden inspired lounge indoor and terrace outdoor its a perfect place to enjoy whatever the weather, summer or winter.
