Last week, I visited one of my favorite locations in Dubai for lunch. Having a meal at a restaurant becomes all the more interesting when the venue is located at a picture perfect place.
Located in the stunning Jumeirah Fishing Harbour, Mint Leaf is an Indian restaurant specializing in North Indian and Mughlai cuisine. They have also launched a brand new menu that features a range of salads, soups, starters, mains and desserts.
We loved the tastefully done interiors of Mint Leaf. The warm and pretty decor of the place is very pleasing to the eyes. When compared to other Indian restaurants interiors, the decor at this place really stands out.
This elegant and classy venue has white furniture with intricate work and beautiful tile-work on the floor. The white walls of the restaurant are adorned with vibrant decorative plates.
The colorful glass chandeliers hanging from the ceiling gives it a fabulous and fun vibe. Complimenting the beautiful interiors is the breathtaking views of the marina. Mint Leaf is good for family get togethers as well as romantic dinners.
After being seated, we were served complimentary Indian condiments like pickle, mint chutney and Poppadam. For our drink, we ordered the super refreshing, rich and delicious Mango Lassi.
Starter
Aloo Tikki Chaat is their best seller. After it was highly recommended by their staff, we ordered the Aloo Tikki Chaat. It was irresistible and full of sweet, spicy and tangy flavors.
The Mixed Veg Kebab Platter consisted of Kebabs like Tandoori Aloo, Tandoori Gobi, Seekh Kebab, Stuffed Mushroom and Paneer Tikka. It was a good and delicious selection of veg kebabs. We especially liked the mushroom and paneer.
Mains
Dal Makhani was a bit too spicy and didn’t have the authentic taste.
Tava Veg Sabji had an assortment of mixed veggies like carrot, baby corn, potato, green peas, bell peppers and cauliflower in a spicy and tangy masala. It was a dry vegetable, that was spicy and tasty.
Bread Basket had freshly baked Indian breads like pudina paratha, kulcha, roti and naan. It went well with the curries that we ordered.
Dessert
Ras Malai was lip smackingly delicious, soft and creamy. We also ordered their homemade Gajjar Ka Halwa which was okay. We preferred the Ras Malai over their halwa.
We ended our lunch with a pot of soothing and fragrant Chamomile Tea.
Mint Leaf Restaurant at the Jumeirah Fishing Harbour is a hidden gem that offers good food, fantastic presentation, helpful and quick service in a gorgeous ambience.
