Where to find the Best Traditional Palestinian Dessert Kullaj in UAE?

Kullaj Omar in Sharjah
Almost fifteen years ago, before moving to Dubai I never had a clue about Arabic sweets except for Baklava. And now after living here for fifteen years, I have my own list of favorite Arabic desserts.

One of the many Arabic sweets that I love is Kullaj, a traditional Palestinian dessert that is well known in the Middle East.

Kullaj is similar to Baklava, it has layers of thin phyllo dough stuffed with Nabulsi white cheese, walnut and pistachio. It is baked in the oven till golden crisp. Kullaj is served with sweet syrup in the side, and you can add the syrup, according to your taste.

Five months ago, Kullaj Omar a popular sweet store from Jordan opened its first outlet in Sharjah, UAE. The Sharjah outlet is located in Jamal Abdul Nasser Street opposite Al Majaz Park. They offer free delivery in Sharjah, Ajman and Dubai.

I ordered three varieties of Kullaj from them- Cheese, Walnut and Pistachio. All the three varieties of Kullaj were made from high quality wheat dough and each one of them were deliciously different and had a distinctive flavor and taste. What a delightful treat they were, I loved it.
