Its the second week of Ramadan and I am almost attending Iftar every day. While some of the Iftars were forgettable, there were few of them that really stood out. Yesterday’s Iftar at Al Bahou was truly memorable.
Al Bahou is located in the Lobby Level of majestic Movenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate that is adjacent to Ibn Battuta Mall in Jebel Ali Village.
What better way to welcome the arrival of Ramadan, by celebrating the descent of the sun amidst the perfect backdrop of Al Bahou’s stunning 88 Arabic lanterns.
Al Bahou is a perfect venue to gather your family and friends for an exceptional Iftar inspired by Ibn Battuta‘s travels through India, Italy, Morocco and Asia. The Iftar experience is enhanced by the soothing sounds of traditional Oud.
Arriving at Al Bahou, we felt like we were transported back in the times of 1,001 Arabian Nights. Al Bahou translates as ‘The Grand Hall’ in Arabic. And it is the epitome of grandeur.
We loved the 88 gigantic lanterns that were suspended from the high ceiling. We felt like we were in an exquisite and luxurious palace in Morocco.
Al Bahou serves up an extravagant buffet of dining options offering Indian, Italian, Arabic and Asian cuisine. The Iftar buffet offers good selection of sumptuous dishes.
The extensive spread included traditional Iftar dishes and Ramadan drinks. The highlights of the Iftar buffet was cold and hot mezze, lamb Ouzi, Fatteh and mixed grills.
Those with the sweet tooth can spoil and delight themselves with a widespread selection of sweets and desserts including Umm Ali, Kunafa and much more.
We absolutely loved our Iftar experience at Al Bahou. The food, the drinks, the service and the atmosphere was excellent.
