Last Monday early in the evening I wanted to catch up with a friend and we didn’t want to visit the usual restaurants or bars in the city, we wanted to visit a place with relaxed atmosphere and ultra chill vibes. We decided on Cielo Sky Lounge.
Perched atop the beautiful Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, Cielo Sky Lounge is an uber cool roof terrace lounge and bar. It offers a stunning view of Dubai’s skyline. Recently Cielo underwent a complete interior revamp and added an extensive dining menu to their offering.
The interiors of Cielo Sky Lounge is modern, stylish and attractive. We loved the swing at the entrance. The setting of the open air terrace transports you to beautiful open-air lounges in Greek islands.
The in-house DJ was playing amazing music. The unparalleled views of Dubai’s skyline was a feast for the eyes.
The setting of Cielo is perfect to watch the sunset. Its one of those impressive places where you can get your guests to enjoy a sundowner.
They have now added many new dishes to their menu. The extensive food menu features a variety of dishes including veg and non-veg options, sharing platters and desserts. Their drinks menu offers creative cocktails, mocktails, wines and other spirit.
Drinks
We ordered couple of their signature cocktails and Latin cocktail- Caipi-Mate, Latino Manhattan and Watermelon & Coconut Martini. All the cocktails that we tried were mixed to perfection and tasted very good.
Food
Basket of French Fries was presented on a miniature bicycle. It had a basket of crispy French fries topped with guacamole, cheese and pico de galla sauce. It was such a refreshing change from the usual fries.
Maki Tortilla Roll was amazing. It had tortilla bread rolled with Sautéed veggies and served with Mediterranean sauce.
Falafel Sticks was a contemporary take on the traditional falafel. Skewered falafel was served with a rich truffle sauce. It was packed with great taste and flavor. A definite must-try at Cielo.
Triple Dippers was another winner. Crunchy Arabic bread was served with three delicious dips-hummus, mutabbal and labneh.
Dessert
Très Leches is one of my favorite desserts that is made with sponge cake and three kinds of milk. The Très Leches at Cielo was super moist, rich, creamy and delicious.
Hawaiian Mochi Ice Cream was highly recommended by the staff and I am glad that we ordered it. We were served mango and passion fruit flavors of yummy mochi ice cream with berries.
Oh boy, what an evening it was! Good food and drinks, magnificent view, awesome music and top notch service in a gorgeous setting. We can’t wait to go back again.
