On 26th January, which is also the Australia Day, a new sports bar and grill was launched in The Address Dubai Marina. It is the newest sports hub in Dubai, with an interesting name- Nezesaussi Grill.
Nezesaussi is the short form for New Zealand, South Africa and Australia. It serves food and drinks from these countries. This is the second outlet of the popular sports bar and grill, they already have an outlet in Manzil Downtown Dubai.
Located in the 4th Floor of The Address Marina, it is a casual dining bar and grill. Just before the entrance of Nezesaussi, we were welcomed by the quirky and humorous posters.
This sports themed sports bar and grill has a separate television set allocated to every table. It has 23 TV screens, 2 pool tables and a juke box. Nezesaussi is a perfect place to socialize with friends or colleagues.
Nezesaussi has a lively ambience. Sporting paraphernalia like rugby balls, sports jersey etc adorns the wall of the place.
We visited them on a Thursday evening, and it was packed with people. After being seated, we immediately ordered our drinks. While my hubby ordered a mug of beer, I ordered a glass of red wine. We were served our drinks along with a complimentary bowl of nuts.
We liked the interesting way their menu was set. For starters and salads, they named it as Kick off, where as for mains it was half time and for desserts, it was full time. Their menu has a good variety of dishes, especially main course.
Kick Off
We kicked off our evening with a refreshing bowl of Greek Salad, Chunky Chips and Sautéed Spinach. The Greek Salad was fresh and tasty. The Chunky Chips was well seasoned and the Sautéed Spinach was delicious.
This is my vegetarian perspective of their food. But if you are a meat or seafood lover, I would suggest that you try their steaks, chicken wings, beef burgers, calamari, grilled salmon or sea bass fillet.
Half Time
For our mains, we ordered two different kinds of pasta- Penne Pasta with wild mushroom sauce and Penne Pasta with spicy vine tomato sauce. Both the pasta were deliciously different, well cooked and extremely tasty.
Apart from the mains and grills, Nezesaussi also serves sandwiches and burgers. There is a good selection of sides and sauces too.
Full Time
As for our desserts we ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding and Fresh Fruit Salad. The Sticky Toffee Pudding had a moist sponge cake, made with poached dates, covered in a caramel sauce and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It tasted fantastic. As a healthier option, we ordered their Fresh Fruit Salad. It had fresh seasonal fruits.
Overall, we had a great experience. Loved the chilled out vibes and friendly atmosphere. The food, the drinks and the service was good. Nezesaussi Grill is a welcome new addition in Dubai Marina and I am sure, it will be an ultimate destination for sports bar and grill in that neighborhood.
