Recently, Dubai is seeing an explosion of new restaurants and cafes. As I am always seeking something new and different, I came across Délifrance. It is the world’s leading French bakery-café-restaurant chain.
Délifrance has two outlets in Dubai- The Dubai Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall. I visited their Dubai Mall outlet with a friend for an early lunch.
Located in the Level 1, next to the Water Fall in The Dubai Mall, Délifrance boasts of a convenient and perfect location.
Délifrance has a cosy atmosphere. The trendy red and deep blue interiors gives it an elegant and classy Parisian touch. Vase with bright red rose in every table adds a romantic flair to the place.
The Pâtisserie offers customers a bakery counter, deli section, great selection of coffee and a retail area with unique and amazing products.
About Délifrance:
Délifrance opened it’s first restaurant in 1984 and it’s heritage dates back to 1919 as an offset of Grands Moulins de Paris. Today, it has an international franchise of over 400 outlets across 13 countries, with it’s most recent openings including Hong Kong and Milan.
What to expect at Délifrance?
Délifrance will be offering their award-winning Pâtisseries including croissants and pain au chocolat. All their dishes and bakery products are prepared using premium quality ingredients.
Their menu offers diners an extensive range of authentic freshly baked bread and pastries as well as hot and cold dishes. The menu covers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
My experience:
After being seated, we were handed their menu. But before we could order the food, we ordered a cup of coffee each. While my friend ordered an Espresso I ordered their Mocha Viennois. Our coffee was fantastic, especially my Mocha Viennois. The Mocha Viennois was rich, creamy and tasty. If you love hot chocolate, then you should definitely try their signature hot chocolate.
Next, we were offered a complimentary basket of bread with three kinds of dip. The bread basket had a mix of different varieties of freshly baked bread.
From their bakery section, we ordered Goat Cheese Puff Pastry. It had flakey puff pastry shell with goat cheese inside. This puff pastry had the delicious melt-in-your-mouth quality to it.
Their Croque Monsieur came highly recommended, but sadly I couldn’t try it as I am a vegetarian. And instead of that we ordered the Club Vegetarian.
Made with hummus, baby spinach leaves, sliced green apples, tomatoes, red onions and avocado slices, the veggie sandwich had great taste and flavor.
As our main course, we ordered the Pasta with Arrabbiata sauce. The pasta was delicious and the portion size was perfect.
For desserts, we ordered Éclair Vanilla and Éclair Dark Chocolate. The éclairs were not only delicious, they were light too. Our favorite was the vanilla one.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The food, the drinks, the service and the atmosphere was good. Whether you want to take a shopping break at the mall to grab a quick bite or for a full fledged meal with your family or friends-Délifrance, French Boulangerie and Bistro has it covered.
