Barbeque Nation, the pioneers of the live grill concept in India, have opened their first international outlet in Dubai. Barbeque Nation is a casual dining restaurant chain that is very popular in India. Having already been to couple of their outlets in India, I was excited, when I got an invite for a pre-launch menu tasting review.
Barbeque Nation is located at Al Barsha, next to HQ Fitness, near Lulu Mall. This family friendly restaurant offers an ample seating area. It has a modern decor and friendly atmosphere. They have same decor in all their outlets.
After being seated, we straightaway ordered their mocktails-Mango Julep and Fresh Lime Soda. Both the drinks were delicious and refreshing. They offer a great variety of mocktails and juices apart from soft drinks and hot beverages.
Every table at Barbeque Nation has a grill embedded to it. So you get to enjoy live grill at your table. There are both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. As both hubby and I are vegetarians, we tried the veg option.
- Tandoori Baghicha
- Mushrooms
- BBQ Pineapple
- Paneer Mirch Masala
- Dahi Ke Kebab
- Cajun Spiced Potatoes
All the above was perfectly grilled and tasted great with the chutney.
The grills and starters are served at the table. And the soups, salads, main course and desserts have a separate buffet counter.
We liked the Sweet Corn Soup from the soup counter. They have a nice but limited salad selection too.
For a taste of the Orient, I visited their live Mongolian Barbecue Station where I got the veggies done Mongolian style.
Loved the variety that was offered for the main course. They had a Live Dal Station with 3 different varieties of dal. All the 3 dal that I sampled were well cooked and flavorful.
The Main Course Counter had most of the essential Indian curries like Paneer Makhani, Alu Gobi, Mixed Vegetable Curry etc.
Freshly baked Tandoori Roti was served at our table.
They also had a separate Biryani Station with 3 kinds of biryani- vegetable, chicken and mutton. The Vegetable Biryani was amazing.
Last but not the least was the Dessert Station. They offer an international selection of cakes, ice creams and sweets. They weren’t that great . But what I liked the best was the Kulfi Station. They had about 6 different kinds of Kulfi and all of them were absolutely delicious. The Kulfi Station comes totally recommended.
Their buffet, which is inclusive of the grill is reasonably charged at AED 59 for lunch and AED 75 for dinner. Kids up to to age of 9 years eat free.
Barbeque Nation offers a great spread of dishes. The service was efficient and helpful. Have you visited the new barbeque in town? Call them on this number and reserve a table, if you plan to visit them.
