CaliBurger is a burger joint from the surfer’s paradise of California. It now has two outlets in Dubai. Though I love burgers, I never ventured to this place as they don’t have vegetarian burgers. Recently, they launched a breakfast menu with couple of vegetarian options. I decided to give it a try.
Last Tuesday morning, my friend and I visited their Sheikh Zayed Road outlet for breakfast. CaliBurger has an atmosphere of a beachside shack in sunny California. Done up in the soothing and pleasant pastel colors, CaliBurger’s walls are adorned with vibrant skateboards, surf boards and plasma TV sets. Super cool music in the background enhances the dining experience.
They’ve recreated the perfect California environment. They also offer outdoor dining space.
The menu is small and simple with burger, salad, sides and beverage options. We tried their new breakfast menu while trying our luck at the new mobile game, GemJump.
From November 1st to 30th, walk into any of the CaliBurger outlet to participate in the worldwide GemJump tournament and you can win $10,000.
Here’s what we ate for breakfast:
Instead of having coffee or milkshake with the breakfast, we ordered their signature Soda based beverage-Red Glamour and Blue Surprise, a cool beverage for Dubai’s hot climate.
When it comes to breakfast, Pancakes are my favorite. So we ordered their Pancake. We liked the homemade style pancakes that was served with maple syrup and butter.
Spicy Egg Sandwich was fantastic, it had soft buns with egg omelette that were topped with thinly sliced jalapeño peppers. It gave us a spicy kick in the morning.
Halloumi Sandwich was quite bland and lacking in taste and flavor.
We couldn’t get enough of the crunchy and tasty Onion Rings at CaliBurger. The Onion Rings were light, non greasy and very addictive.
Overall, we had a great time, dining and playing GemJump. They should add some new items to their menu, especially a veggie burger. The pricing is quite reasonable and affordable.
