Divan Patisserie, Turkey’s leader in luxurious and finest chocolates and Turkish sweets launched their first store in Dubai on the 26th of October. I had the privilege of attending the grand launch with other media people. It was a great event with loads of sweets and Turkish coffee.
The newly opened Divan Patisserie is located in the Lower Ground Level of the Dubai Mall. It is hard to miss this gorgeous cafe, while walking around the lower ground level of the Dubai Mall. And their chocolate fountain and chocolate taps will pull you to their doorstep.
Divan Patisserie is Turkey’s luxurious and boutique Patisserie concept, that offers handmade gourmet products. We got to experience the finest selections of bespoke Turkish delicacies, from luscious array of readymade hand crafted creations to personalized exquisite blends of chocolates and macaroons at Divan.
How it all started…
Divan Patisserie started as a single shop within the Divan Istanbul Hotel 60 years ago and now grown into a famous brand locally and internationally for it’s popular high quality Turkish sweets.
My Experience
As I visited them on their opening, it was busy and bustling with guests. My friend and I were offered a cute table at the corner and immediately served refreshing Lemonade to drink.
After that began our wonderful sweet story. We were served 4 varieties of bite sized Tarts, each of them were delicious in their own way.
Next we were served their famous Chocolate Fondue with fruits. Their chocolate fondue is rich and delicious. Along with the chocolate fondue, we also got to try two of their signature Mouse-Raspberry and Chocolate.
It is a Turkish Patisserie and how can we not have the Turkish Delight. One of the most authentic and fantastic Turkish delight that I’ve tasted in Dubai. It took me back to my Istanbul trip. We also sampled some of their luxurious chocolates.
We were already in chocolate heaven, and then arrived the deliciously divine Ice cream cake. It is an absolute must-try at Divan. We gorged on our two favorite desserts blended into one-ice cream+cake.
Just before the coffee arrived, we tried few of their macaroons in different flavors from strawberry to chocolate and lemon. Being a lover of macaroons, I relished them.
We ended our sweet afternoon with a hot strong cup of Turkish Coffee. It was a rich culinary treat. Oh boy, what a blissfully sweet time we had. Divan Patisserie is a must-visit destination for all dessert lovers.
