Thai Wok-Al Barsha

Thai Wok,Authentic Thai Restaurant
Al Barsha area in Dubai is a haven for small restaurants, I’ve had the most delicious and authentic dishes in some of the eateries in Al Barsha. Adding to that list Of good eateries that I’ve visited in Al Barsha is Thai Wok.

Thai Wok’s business model is focused on delivery and catering, while they do offer a small and humble dine-in space. Thai wok serves authentic Thai cuisine straight from Koh Samui-all their Thai chefs come from Koh Samui in Thailand. You can expect an authentic, spicy and delicious meal in Thai Wok.

Thai Chefs,Koh Samai
Located in one of the busy bylanes of Al Barsha, close to The Mall of Emirates, it would have been difficult to locate the restaurant, if we didn’t have a GPS. I suggest you to use the Google map to reach the restaurant if you are not familiar with that part of the city.

The restaurant is quite small and could probably seat 12 people. But nevertheless I found it cute and cosy. Dim lighting, minimalistic decor and clean space enhanced our dining experience.

The menu at Thai Wok is elaborate. They serve all the Thai favorite appetizers, salads, soups, mains, curries, noodles and rice. Compared to non vegetarian dishes, vegetarian dishes is limited. Upon request they serve vegetarian dishes that are not available in the menu.

Tom Yum Soup,Lemongrass
Can’t think of a better way to start a Thai meal, than with a hot bowl of  Tom Yum Soup. As the quantity was huge, hubby and I decided to share the soup. The clear soup was mildly spicy, tangy and tasty, with a mix of veggies and Thai herbs.

Papaya Salad,Thai Salad
Papaya Salad was outstanding, it was just like the kind we had in Thailand. A definite must-try at Thai Wok.

Vegetable Spring Roll
We ordered Vegetable Spring Rolls as our appetizer. It was served with sweet Chili sauce. It was good, we liked the fact that it was non greasy.

Mains

Jasmine Rice,Stir fried veggies,Thai green curry,Rice noodles in chili sauce

Rice Noodles in Chili Sauce was extremely delicious and flavorful. Wish they could have made it a bit less oilier.

Stir Fried Vegetables with Chili Paste was another winner. It had wok fried veggies with chili paste and sweet basil.

Green Curry was delicious, but it was way too spicy for us. I wish we had told them to keep the spice level low, instead of medium. For any dish, you can specify your preferred spice level.

Aromatic Thai Steamed Jasmine Rice was served with our curry and stir fried vegetables.

Sticky rice with mango
Popular Thai dessert Sticky Rice with Mango was served for dessert. It was lip smackingly delicious and a great way to end our authentic Thai dinner.

Overall, we had an amazing experience. The food, the service and the hospitality was great. You can expect food that is fresh and made with high quality ingredients. The portion size is generous and the pricing is reasonable.
