Moshi- An unique restaurant serving two unique cuisines from the North and South of Asia, recently opened a second outlet in Oud Metha road. In the last week of May they introduced a new summer menu, I was invited to the launch of the new summer menu.
After having visited their first outlet of Moshi in Al Barsha sometime back, I was looking forward to visit their newest outlet. You can search on my website for ‘Moshi-Where Nepal Meets Japan’ to read about their first outlet in Al Barsha.
Moshi is a home grown concept that serves fusion Sushi and authentic momos. As it is a home grown concept, you can expect Middle Eastern inspired maki rolls. Moshi is one of those restaurants that don’t add any MSG to their food.
Moshi is a casual dining restaurant. What I liked about this new outlet is the space. Unlike their Al Barsha outlet which is very tiny and cramped, the new Oud Metha outlet is very spacious. The interiors are done up in bright colors. The place is comfy and cosy. They have an open kitchen concept.
As I went for the summer menu launch, Moshi was over crowded and I couldn’t enjoy to the fullest due to that. Otherwise everything else was great.
For the summer menu they have added 15 new dishes. Being a vegetarian I’ve tried all the vegetarian dishes.
After being seated, we were immediately served two of their new drinks in the summer menu-Strawberry Mojito and Lotus Milkshake. Both the drinks were fantastic.
Next came the Sriracha Edamame, the humble steamed edamame was drenched with Sriracha sauce which gave it a nice spicy flavor.
We tried all their new veggie sushi rolls-Zaatar Labneh Maki, Broccoli & Asparagus Roll, Dhokla Maki, Flamin’ Asparagus Cheetos and Falafel Nigiri. Each and every sushi roll was very unique and delicious. They are so tasty and addictive that you will definitely overeat them, just like me. My all time favorite roll is their legendary Cheesy Chips Oman. A must-try for all sushi lovers.
Edamame & Mushroom Momo is the new addition to their momos. This delectable Momo was mildly spicy, crunchy and very tasty.
Though they have not added any new dessert in their menu. We were offered their famous Nutella Maki for dessert. It tastes almost like a Nutella crepe and tastes absolutely heavenly.
The summer menu is available for dine in, home delivery and take away at both their outlets in Al Barsha and Oud Metha.
