Fratelli La Bufala- The Beach, JBR

Emirates NBD and Zomato had partnered up to provide one of a kind food trail all across a line of restaurants in Jumeriah Beach Residence. A few bloggers and I were invited to be a part of the foodie trail. We got to visit four different restaurants. Fratelli La Bufala was our third stop of the foodie trail.

Fratelli La Bufala is an Italian restaurant specializing in cuisine from the region of Naples in Italy. You can expect authentic dishes, flavors and aromas from Naples. Fratelli La Bufala was first established in 2003 and they have many branches all over the world.

Fratelli La Bufala is a very spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating area with the stunning view of the sea. They have an open kitchen. The ambience of the restaurant is cheerful, vibrant and lively. The decor of the restaurant is modern and classy. Fratelli La Bufala is a family friendly restaurant. When I went there last week, I saw many families dining there.

We were all given a mocktail as our welcome drink. All their mocktails are made with fresh fruits. The mocktail which was served to us was one of their specialities called the FLB special. It was a light and refreshing drink.

Fratelli La Bufala’s Chef Pepe is from Naples. So you can expect authentic Napoli pizza made in wood fired oven. He showed us how to make Cornetto di Buffalo. It is a pizza shaped like a buffalo horn and filled with cheese. We also got to taste the delicious Cornetto di buffalo.

La Mozzata was our appetizer. Each of our tables had a plate of La Mozzata, it can be easily shared between 3-4 people. It is a huge ball of fresh mozzarella served with arugula, cherry tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, salt and oregano.

Chef Pepe taught us to make pizza  and we had a chance to create our own pizza with the ready dough prepared by the chef. Some of my creative blogger friends created different shapes of pizzas like fish, heart etc. I made a regular round pizza with the help of Chef Pepe. I added topping like marinara sauce, cherry tomatoes, Chilli flakes, cheese, basil and oregano. Then it went straight into the wood fired oven. My fresh Napoli pizza was ready. It had the right amount of crispness. It was chewy, juicy and tasty, just like the way traditional Napoli pizzas do.

How can we end our Italian meal without having tiramisu ? We were served freshly made tiramisu in a cup. This dream of a dessert was perfectly made  with the right amount of coffee flavor and fresh mascarpone. It had us craving for more. This tiramisu was truly amazing. I can’t wait to come back for more of it.

The menu consists of a good variety of appetizers, salads and main courses like pasta and pizza and the Italian desserts. I would certainly come back next time to try their focaccia bread, pasta, risotto and Lasagna.

The service was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was excellent. Fratelli La Bufala is a great place to visit with family or friends. Would I recommend Fratelli La Bufala to family and friends? Absolutely!

P.S.- I have already promised my little girl that she can have a Mickey Mouse shaped pizza at Fratelli La Bufala and she has already decided our day of visit.
