I was invited for a fun filled evening filled with festive treats and coffee art master class at the Costa Academy for a Zomato Meet up.
It was an interesting evening where we got to try the new festive menu from Costa Coffee, as well as learn to create beautiful latte art from a trained barista at the head Costa Academy in Dubai.
When I reached Costa Academy in the evening for the event, I could feel the festivity in the air. The whole place was decked up with festive paraphernalia and everyone was dressed up in their festive best. The place had a lively and energetic vibe. It had a bright and colorful ambience. Yes, I put my festive mode on and couldn’t wait for the event to start.
Costa Coffee is a Coffee chain from U.K. The first international Costa Coffee store to open outside of the U.K. was opened here in the UAE. There are now 134 Costa Coffee stores in the UAE.
I have been a huge fan of their cappuccino and I was thrilled to know that the Costa Coffee cappuccino is the number 1 selling coffee in the UAE.
They use only fresh milk in their coffee. Coffee at Costa is hand crafted and not button pushed. All their baristas are well trained and highly skilled.
Our evening started off by trying their 5 new festive drinks especially launched for the holiday season.
We tried all the 5 drinks- Caramel popcorn latte, Praline Cappuccino, Caramel fudge hot chocolate, Caramel fudge chocolate frostino and Caramel popcorn latte Frostino. Loved all of them. But my favorites were Praline cappuccino and Caramel fudge chocolate frostino.
We also tried their festive cookies. Short crust butter cookies decorated with festive royal icing and shaped like festive trees, bells and parcels. The cookies were delicious and perfect to have this holiday season.
After that the head Barista showed us, how to make latte art. We even tried making latte art. Costa UAE is the reigning World Barista champion.
It was time to try the festive food. There were festive mince pies, muffins, cakes, sandwiches and baguettes.
I loved most of their cakes and muffin, here are some of the festive food that I liked.
Festive Muffin- It is a red velvet muffin with cream cheese inside and topped with royal icing garnish. I am sure the kids will love it.
Apple Cake with butter crumble- This yummy crumble was made with fresh and juicy apples.
Strawberry Cheesecake- I liked the tasty and light strawberry cheesecake which had a creamy cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries.
Four layer chocolate cake- This cake was the show stopper. It was rich, dark and delicious.
Carrot Cake- The carrot cake was sweet, moist and flavorful.
Tiramisu-This popular Italian coffee flavored cake was good.
This holiday season head over to Costa Coffee to try out their new festive menu.
What a great meet up! The food looks amazing!
