New Menu tasting at The Cheesecake Factory @Mall of the Emirates

Last month I was invited by Zomato for an exclusive pre-launch of the new menu at The Cheesecake Factory at the Mall of the Emirates.

One thing I must tell you, Nobody does food better than Zomato and their meet ups are always a grand affair.

I reached The Cheesecake Factory right on time at 7:30 in the evening with a huge smirk on my face. Yes, I will tell you about that smirk. Whenever I have to try something new which others are yet to try, that’s when the little girl in me is set free and I feel giddily happy about tasting something new before the others get to try.

Didn’t I tell you all that Zomato meet ups are always grand. We had a private dining area all for ourselves and a bunch of passionate foodies. The agenda for the evening was to try everything in the new menu plus we get to taste  14 cheesecakes. Yes, you heard it right I am not kidding here we got to try only 14 cheesecakes.

The Cheesecake Factory is an American chain of restaurant offering a vast menu including a wide range of Cheesecakes. They are known for big portions. It is my go-to place for comfort food. I have been to The Cheesecake Factory many times. But it was the first time that I was invited to try the new menu. So naturally I was thrilled.

All of us ordered our drinks. I had the beverage Arnold Palmer, it consists of iced tea and lemonade. It is a light and refreshing drink.

The new menu includes Endive Salad, Sweet corn Tamale cakes, Harvest chicken salad,Bacon-Bacon Cheeseburger, Carolina B.B.Q. Beef Sandwich, Eggplant Parmesan, Parmesan hurb crusted chicken and pasta with shrimp and sausage. Not to forget the 2 new cheesecakes, Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake and S’mores cheesecake.

As I am a vegetarian I didn’t get to try everything. But the advantage for me was that I had lot more space in my tummy and I could try all the 14 cheesecakes. Haha!

We started with the two salads and I could see that the non vegetarian foodies enjoying their harvest chicken salad. I quite liked the Endive salad. The salad was made with Belgian endive, glazed pecans, blue cheese, Radicchio in vinaigrette dressing. It was nice and fresh, not overpowering.

Eggplant Parmesan with pesto pasta was loved by all of us. The eggplant Parmesan was crisp, layered with cheese and tomato sauce and then baked to perfection and went very well with pesto pasta. I certainly recommend this.

Instead of pasta with shrimp and sausage they got me a penne pasta with veggies in a Pesto sauce. It was okay, not extraordinary.

Finally it was time for desserts. I can’t forget the grand appearance the staff made holding the cheesecake platters in their hands.

Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake was the first cheesecake that I tried. It is new in their menu. This luxurious cheesecake is deep, dark and decadent. No wonder, it is my current favorite.

S’mores cheesecake is also new in their menu. It is tasty, sweet and heavy. I am not a fan of marshmallows, so I didn’t like it much. But I am sure all the marshmallow lovers will like it.

The Original will always be my best among all the cheesecakes, because it is the one that started it all. This creamy and delicious cheesecake is a definite must-try to all cheesecake fans.

Key Lime Cheesecake is another great cheesecake. It is a key lime pie in a cheesecake, it has a tart below and creamy layer on top. It is light, creamy and perfectly tangy.

Ultimate Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake is a must have at The Cheesecake Factory for all the Red Velvet cake fans. This smooth and creamy cheesecake tastes as good as it looks. It is a perfect marriage of my two favorites the red velvet cake and cheesecake.

All the other cheesecakes were also amazing. The service was exemplary, lovely ambience and great company. I had a wonderful experience. The Cheesecake Factory is a place you would love to go back again and again.
