It was a Sunday and myself and couple of my friends made an impromptu plan to go to a pub to enjoy some drinks and music.The onus fell on me to choose a place.I decided on Rodeo Drive,the American themed bar.The Rodeo Drive is located next to Raddison Royal hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.It is on Level 1 and on level 2 is The Stables Bar.Infact,Rodeo Drive and The Stables belong to the same owner.So in one place,you have two choices.Isn’t it wonderful? We people in Dubai are spoilt for choice.
Rodeo Drive brings a Slice of America to Dubai.It is an American themed bar/gastropub.This is a place where you can let your inner Cowboy out and have a good time.The decor is also American inspired,the walls are filled with sporting paraphernalia and some quotes.It is a very informal place with wooden tables and chairs,in the centre of the place inside is a mechanical bull.The place is full of activities,I am sure nobody will go back home bored.
Rodeo Drive is one of the few places in Dubai to offer beer pong.There are lots of other games like electronic darts board,arcade golf game,jukebox and live sports on TV.This place is great to watch live sports like football,cricket etc with friends.The most fun thing to do here is to ride the mechanical bull.It is free to all,I guess you have to sign a waiver.Infact,watching people on the bull can also be fun.I didn’t sit on the bull this time,but will definitely do so in my next visit.Hopefully would have mustered some courage by then.
The beverage menu is wide and varied.They have amazing cocktails,beers,whiskey and other hard drinks as well as juices and soft drinks.Almost every night they have a drink deal.Every Sundays and Tuesday are ladies night.The ladies get to have 4 cocktails for free.The food menu consists of light bites like nachos,fries,jalapeño poppers,onion rings,chicken wings,salads,burgers,sandwiches,pizza,Fajitas,steaks and also few desserts.The non-vegetarian have lot more choices than vegetarians.We tried the onion rings,jalapeño poppers,fries,Fajitas and grilled veggie wrap.It was pretty decent.All of us liked the food.Our drinks were fantastic,though it would have been better if they could have made it a bit more stronger.We had cosmopolitan,Maitai and margarita as our drinks.
Rodeo Drive is an unpretentious place.They play great music whether it is Rock,pop,hip hop,R n B,or the latest hits.They also have live music.The vibe is fun,energetic and entertaining.The pricing is very reasonable.The service is good.
This is a place to go with a bunch of friends and let your hair down and have fun,no need to bother about how you have dressed.The casuals rule here,so ditch your designer wear and put on your denims.I assure you will be entertained and will not have a single boring moment.I definitely recommend Rodeo Drive.
