Celebrated Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor of India has restaurants around the world, and one of his most popular restaurant chain is The Yellow Chilli. And it has branches across UAE.
The Yellow Chilli represents Indian food in all its eccentricity and diversity along with a high quality family dining experience at down to earth prices. Most of the dishes are specially designed by Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor inspired by his travels around India.
The Yellow Chilli restaurant has been our family favorite since it opened few years ago. We have been visiting and ordering from them since a long time and the food has been consistently good over the years.
Recently they added new items to the menu while retaining the popular signature dishes and we headed down to the closest Yellow Chilli branch near our house to try the new menu.

The interiors of the restaurant has a typical Indian theme with comfortable seating area and welcoming atmosphere. After being seated, we immediately ordered two of our usual mocktails- Anar Dana and Peru Pyala. The super refreshing Peru Pyala is an absolute must-try.
Talented Indian Chef Dhan Singh has joined team Yellow Chilli recently and has given a creative spin to the new menu. Being vegetarians, we are happy with the veg options offered at the restaurant. And we started off with the simple and nutritious Lentil Soup.

Next we had the Thai-inspired Papaya & Mango Peanut Kachumber Salad and it was amazing. For starters, we ordered Dahi Ke Kebab, Tandoori Soya Chaap, Basilico & Kuzbara Paneer Tikka and Baked Stuffed Mushroom.
Each and every starter had deliciously distinct flavor and looked like a piece of art. Hats off to the beautiful plating, liked the way the classic Indian dishes were given a contemporary twist without losing the authentic flavor.

We had Cheese & Cheese Kofta, Tawa Masala Soya Chaap, Zaatar Naan and Basil Pesto Sabudana Khichdi for main course. The Kofta was heavy but tasty, the soya was delicious and the flavorful zaatar naan went well with both the curries.
Basil Pesto Sabudana Khichdi was surprisingly good. This is the first time ever that I had Sabudana with pesto and the combination worked.
We ended our lunch with Motichoor Panjari Tart with Rabdi Mousse. It was one dessert with three flavors and tasted great.
Our culinary experience at the Yellow Chilli was fabulous. The drinks, the food, the atmosphere and the service was top notch, no wonder it is one of our favorite Indian restaurants in Dubai.
