Another day, another new restaurant! Through food I’m discovering different parts of the city. This time I visited the new and upcoming district of Dubai Silicon Oasis to dine at a brand new restaurant One Square Meal or OSM.
Located in the ground level of Spring Oasis Tower in Dubai Silicon Oasis, OSM is a multi-cuisine international restaurant. Their menu features modern Indian, Italian, Arabic and global cuisine.
You can expect a range of soups, salads, sides, starters, mains and desserts along with beverages. Their menu offers a good variety for vegetarians and non vegetarians.
The contemporary-style interiors of the restaurant is cool and casual with ample seating area. The venue is spacious with natural lighting. They’ve an open kitchen concept.
We started off with two of their refreshing drinks- Veggie Juice and Watermelon Juice. My little girl liked their Truffle Fries and Cheese Garlic Bread.
While our daughter was enjoying her fries and garlic bread, we ordered Beetroot Murabba Croquettes and Nimona Kachori as our appetizer.
The croquettes were an absolute delight and very flavorful. A definite must-try if you ever visit OSM. The kachori had a stuffing of prunes and it was sweet. We found the crust of the kachori too hard and didn’t enjoy it.
For main course we had the rich, creamy and tasty Pistachio Paneer Makhani with Pumpkin Kulcha and simple yet flavorful Achari Red Rice Khichdi.
Coconut Milk Pancake was the dessert that we had and it was disappointing. The pancake was not served hot and the combination of besan Halwa mousse didn’t work well.
OSM looks like a promising new restaurant with a creative twist on the dishes. Our experience was a hit and miss affair. I’m sure they will work on some of the dishes and get it right soon.
