I always look forward to weekend brunches with my family, but this weekend for a change we opted for lunch. As it was long time since we had Lebanese cuisine, we decided to visit Chez Michel Restaurant.
Conveniently located in the Trade Centre area close to the Trade Centre Metro Station, Chez Michel is open 24/7. So whether you want to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or a quick coffee or sandwich-on-the-go or shisha, Chez Michel is a great option.
The restaurant is spacious and has a smoking and non smoking area. The non smoking area is family friendly. Their outdoor seating area is perfect for al fresco dining in this pleasant weather. The interiors of the venue is basic and minimalistic.
Their menu is elaborate and offers Lebanese cuisine as well as international cuisine. They’ve good veggie options and as vegetarians we were happy with their menu.
We started off with freshly made Pomegranate Juice. After that we ordered cold and hot mezze. Our cold starters were Hummus, Moutabel, Raheb and Mouhammara.
The delicious hummus had a creamy and velvety texture, we loved the smoky flavored mountabel. The raheb was refreshing and their mouhammara is the best in town. And certainly not to be missed. To go along with the mezze, we were served round fluffy Arabic Bread fresh out of the oven.
Spicy Potatoes and Grilled Halloumi Cheese were our hot mezze dishes. Both were well made and tasty, we especially liked the grilled halloumi cheese. We also had the Cheese & Zaatar Manakeesh.
For dessert we had the delightful and oh-so-yummy Brownies with Ice Cream. The best way to end a lovely lunch.
We enjoyed our lunch experience at Chez Michel Restaurant. The food, the service and the atmosphere was good.
