Streetery- A Must Visit Food Hall Concept in JLT Dubai

Streetery Dubai

I finally visited the much talked about and the award-winning restaurant Streetery last evening for dinner. Ever since it opened a year ago, its been creating a huge buzz on social media. I don’t know why it took me so long to visit and now I can see myself visiting Streetery more often.

Located in the foodie hub of JLT in Dubai, Streetery is an Asian food hall concept that offers Thai, Chinese, Malaysian and Singaporean food in an authentic food hall atmosphere.

The venue is spacious with indoor and outdoor dining area. The hawker market-inspired dining room of Streetery will transport you to the hawker stalls in Singapore and Thailand right here in Dubai without getting on a long 8 hour flight. Loved the lively and rustic vibe of the venue.

Streetery’s menu brings together three different concepts-Zen (Thai and Chinese), Fat Aunt’s (curries, dim sums and noodles) and Hing Kee (barbecue and grills). You can order from any or all the three food stalls and food is served to your table when it is ready.

The menu is diverse and elaborate, there is something for everyone. Being a vegetarian, I was really impressed with their vegetarian and vegan options.

Streetery JLT

We started off with refreshing Tender Coconut Water and Lemongrass Juice to drink, followed by comforting Tom Yum Soup.

To eat, we ordered from all the three stalls. As a starter we had Chinese Cucumber Salad, Veggie Dumpling, Cheung Fun and Turnip Cake. Each and every dish was deliciously different and packed with exquisite flavor. Their turnip cake is not to be missed.

Malay curry

For mains, we had Malay Curry with Malay Roti, Kung Pao, Penang Curry, Szechuan Green Beans, Pad Thai Noodles and Veg Fried Rice. All the dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted utterly delicious and flavorful. Malay curry and roti was my favorite, it was so good.

Pandan Crepe

We ended our dinner with two desserts- Sticky Rice with Mango and Pandan Crepe with Coconut Ice Cream. Both were good, but the pandan crepe with coconut filling topped with coconut ice cream was phenomenal. It is one of the best desserts I’ve eaten in a very long time. Oh boy, I can visit Streetery just to devour this dessert.

Our dining experience at Streetery was fabulous. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the service was incredible. The pricing is reasonable and affordable. I can’t wait to visit them soon.
