I finally found my favorite Latin American Restaurant in Dubai. Garden which used to be a Peruvian restaurant has been relaunched and reopened as a Latin American restaurant with a new look and an amazing new menu.
Located in the 5th Floor of JW Marriott Marquis, Garden offers street food from diverse and vibrant Latin American countries like Venezuela, Peru, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
The venue is spacious with indoor and outdoor dining area. The Latin American-inspired indoor space is casual, colorful and super cool. The outdoor area looks magical and surreal. On the evening when we visited them for dinner, it was busy and buzzy. A perfect venue to hangout with family and friends.
They’ve a lovely little bar outdoors and we enjoyed the couple of Cocktails that we tried. Their drinks menu features classic cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines and other spirits.
The food menu has been divided into different sections according to their countries. We tried a dish each from all the 5 countries. Being vegetarians, we could only try the veggie dishes. The vegetarian/vegan options are limited.
We started off our meal with fresh and flavorful Guacamole. It was served with corn tortilla chips. The Wood Fired Sweet Corn Asado with chili butter, sour cream and queso fresco was delightful and very comforting on a winter evening.
One of the outstanding dishes was a cold plate Solterito from Peru. It had the winning combination of jalapeño burrata, giant corn, chulpi quinoa and purple potato.
Empanada De Hongos, their veggie empanada with mushrooms, cheese and truffle was delicious. Cachapas the Venezuelan sweet corn pancake was amazing. We tried it for the very first time and we loved it.
We ended our dinner with two of their decadent desserts Churros and Très Léchés. The scrumptious churros was served with Abuelita chocolate sauce. I liked the creative twist to the classic très lèches as the milk sponge cake was topped with candy floss and condensed milk.
Overall our dining experience at the Garden was fabulous. The taste, the flavor and plating of the food was great. The food was complemented by well crafted beverages. The pricing is reasonable and affordable. I can see me coming back more often.
