The last couple of months, many delivery-only concepts have cropped up all over Dubai. Rim Jhim is a new Indian comfort food delivery concept that delivers from two locations- BoxPark and JLT. Yesterday evening, we gave them a try.
The menu of Rim Jhim is small and focusing mainly on Biryani. Apart from Biryani they also have small bites like samosas, fries, salad, lentil soup, dal and paratha along with their signature brownie and drinks.
Vegetarians and non vegetarians have decent options. To drink we ordered Lemonade and Minted Lemonade, both the drinks were cool and refreshing.
Their menu features three kinds of mini samosas and we had the Veggie Samosa. Though it didn’t have the authentic taste, the samosa was crisp and tasty. The Masala Fries were mildly flavored and made for a good side dish.
We had ordered Dal Makhani, but by mistake they sent us Dal Tadka. The dal tadka was simple and had an amazing homemade flavor. The Paratha went really well with the dal tadka.
The portion-size of the Veggie Biryani was generous but it was a bit of a letdown as it was lacking in taste and flavor. The Raita with veggies, pomegranate seeds and masala was great.
Their Signature Brownie was excellent and hands down the best fudge chocolate brownies I ever had.
Overall, the food was okay, some of the dishes require improvement. The packaging was good, the delivery was on time and the pricing is mid-range.
