Sumo Sushi & Bento has been my go-to place for sushi for many years now. Whether it is to dine-in or take-away or get the food delivered, we have never been disappointed. The best part is that they’re pocket-friendly too.
Their Town Centre branch in Jumeirah is my favorite branch. Last week my family and I visited them for lunch.
This branch is spacious, pleasant and bright with modern and minimalistic decor. Their menu is vast and varied with incredible choices. Love the fact that their menu features many vegetarian and vegan options.
Sumo Sushi & Bento’s beverage menu offers many mocktails, healthy drinks and fresh juices. We ordered Green Twist and Pomegranate Lemonade to drink.
Being a vegetarian I love their veggie bento box which is what I order usually. But this this time I ditched it for something different.
Started the lunch with the addictive Spicy Edamame our family favorite. Next we had the utterly delicious Ginger Tofu that had lightly fried tofu served in ginger sauce.
If you’re an aubergine lover then their Nasu Dengaku is an absolute must-try. It is a classic Japanese side dish that has pan seared aubergine glazed with miso and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
Their Veggie Ramen had an authentic and traditional taste and flavor. It was comfort food in a bowl. We also had the flavorful Japanese Curry with rice.
The main highlight of our family lunch was the Sushi Boat or the Garden Tray. It had top selection of veggie rolls fresh from their garden and it consisted of Veggie Futomaki, Kappa, Avocado Maki, Forbidden Roll, Veggie Roll and Veggie Vietnam. Everything was fresh and fabulous. It can easily be shared between 4-6 people.
Ended our lunch with the delectable dessert Mochi and Green Tea.
The good food at Sumo Sushi & Bento is complimented by impeccable service. Our dining experience was amazing.
