There are some venues that you always wanted to go but somehow your plans never materialize and you end up not going. I’ve a small list of such venues and Boston Bar is one of them. I had been planning to visit them for nearly sixteen years and finally on Friday I had the pleasure of visiting them.
Boston Bar has recently launched a lunch deal on Friday- Fri-yay Lunch. The Fri-yay Lunch happens every Friday from 12:30pm to 4pm. We visited them to try the Fri-yay Lunch.
Boston Bar is an American bar that is inspired by the famous tv series ‘Cheers’. It is located in the ground floor of Jumeira Rotana. The Boston Bar has been around for many years.
The interiors of Boston Bar and Lounge has a typical American feel and look. It has a well stocked bar in the centre and dining tables in the side. With big television screens around the venue, Boston Bar is a great place to watch live sports.
Now coming to our Fri-yay lunch experience, it was different from a Friday brunch experience. They have different kinds of sharing food platters and it can be shared between 3-4 people. Its a family friendly affair and you can get your kids too.
The packages available for Fri-yay lunch are:
- All Meat Platter for AED 179
- Boston Bites for AED 169
- Chicken Platter for AED 139
- Beverage Package for AED 150 including house wines, house spirits and canned beer
All the food packages are good to share for up to 4 people. Children under 6 years of age dine free and children between 6 and 12 years of age dine with 50% discount.
After we ordered the drinks, we were offered a bowl of nuts. And before our lunch arrived we were served bread and butter.
The food we tried was simple and delicious American comfort food. The quantity and quality was decent. We especially liked the onion rings and quesadilla.
If you’re going for the food platters, if you have to order drinks separately and the drinks will be charged.
Overall, we enjoyed our lunch experience. The food platters offers value for money.
