This winter Century Village in Garhoud has become my go-to destination for al fresco dining and I had visited all the restaurants except Masala Craft. So along with a friend I headed to Masala Craft for lunch.
Masala Craft is a contemporary Indian restaurant that offers authentic Indian food with a modern flair. I didn’t expect much from the restaurant thinking that it is one of the many Indian restaurants in Dubai, but was pleasantly surprised by the amazing food packed with exquisite flavors.
The venue features an indoor and outdoor dining area. The interiors indoors is bright, modern and welcoming. The outdoor area offers the lush green view of the Century Village. We sat outdoors as the weather was wonderful in the afternoon.
After being seated, we were offered complimentary Pani Puri Shots. It was a fun way to serve the humble Pani Puri and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We also ordered a glass of fresh Juice to drink.
Their menu offers a range of soups, salads, starters, curries, mains and desserts. Whether you are looking for meat, seafood or vegetarian dishes-their menu has it covered.
Starters
Packed with greens and exotic spices the Harra Bhara Kebab was delicious and nutritious. We also loved the flavorful and delightful Stuffed Mushrooms. Both the starters were not only tasty but non oily too. After enjoying their starters, we were looking forward to our main course.
Mains
Hyderabadi Soya Kheema was healthy, flavorful and delicious with a subtle hint of Hyderabadi spices. It is one of the must-try dishes at Masala Craft.
Lal Mirch Ka Baingan or crisp spiced battered aubergine with red chilly masala was spicy and tasty. It was truly a delight for an aubergine lover like me.
Hyderabadi Kachi Gosht Ki Biryani which is the lamb biryani was enjoyed by my friend. Being a vegetarian I didn’t try it. She loved the tender pieces of lamb and spices cooked in fragrant biryani rice. The biryani came along with Raita.
The Garlic Naan and Tandoori Roti went very well with our curries. They were freshly prepared and hot.
Dessert
Kesari Rasmalai was rich, soft and had a melt-in-your-mouth quality. The taste was enhanced by the saffron flavor.
We loved our dining experience at Masala Craft and will definitely visit them again as the food is delicious and the pricing is right.
