Tiffin Box Lunch at Moombai & Co- The H Hotel Dubai

Moombai & Co Restaurant

I still cannot get over the amazing lunch I had yesterday at Moombai & Co. This was my second visit and I liked it better than the first time. My first time at Moombai & Co was a long time ago, when it was newly opened and had few minor teething issues of a new startup.

Located in the premises of the H Hotel, Moombai & Co has a separate entrance. The casual dining restaurant and bar has a vibrant, lively and vintage decor with an indoor and outdoor dining space. The Bollywood music playing in the background adds an energetic vibe to the venue.

Business lunch at Moombai & Co

Moombai & Co is an Indian restaurant that brings the Parsi cafe culture from the city of Mumbai to Dubai.

Moombai & Co offers Business Lunch from Sunday to Thursday every afternoon at 12pm-3pm. It is called as Tiffin Box lunch as the food is served in the tiffin box. All the five days they have a different menu and it is reasonably priced at AED 50.

All vegetarian and non vegetarian tiffin comes with a choice of naan/roti/rice. And a pistachio stuffed gulab jamun in the end.

As in most of the Indian restaurants, at Moombai & Co also we were served complimentary condiments like Poppadam, Chutney and Pickle.

Lassi

We ordered a refreshing and cooling glass of Lassi and their signature cocktail PK Hai Kya that was served in a sealed bottle. The cocktail had a lovely floral flavor.

Tiffin box lunches in Dubai

Being vegetarians, naturally we ordered their veg tiffin box. We tried 3 kinds of tiffin boxes, we also ordered the Biryani tiffin box which is available on all the week days. It comes with Raita and Kachumber. The Veg Biryani was bursting with authentic flavors and tasted damn delicious. The biryani tiffin box is priced AED 55.

Our other two tiffin boxes contained Dal Makhani, Dal Tadka, Jeera Aloo, Paneer Khurchan, Roti and Naan. We liked everything we tried, both the dals and aloo had a homemade flavor and taste. The paneer khurchan was also delicious and the freshly made roti and naan went perfectly well with all our curries and aloo.

Masala chai

I am not a fan of stuffed gulab jamun so I skipped it, but my daughter liked it. We ended our lunch with a cup of Masala Chai which was fantastic.

We absolutely loved the tiffin box lunch, it rekindled my childhood memories as I remember when I was in school, my mother would send me a tiffin box for lunch which was similar to what I had in Moombai & Co.
