I never thought I’ll make an extra effort and drive down to another Emirate for Iftar this year, all that changed when I heard about the Beachside Ramadan Tent in Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa. I’ve not been to a beachside Iftar and I was super thrilled to visit my first ever Beachside Ramadan Tent yesterday.
The beautiful property of Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa has come up with a plush 800 sqm air-conditioned tent for the first time. Their Ramadan tent is set up on the white sands of the beach, offering the most spectacular view of the tranquil Arabian Gulf.
The Arabesque tent looks gorgeous and regal inside. It is spacious and has ample seating area and from our table near the window, we enjoyed the stunning sea view. Our table had Iftar essentials like Dates and Water. There was a counter for traditional Ramadan Juices at the entrance.
Their extensive and sumptuous Iftar buffet had most of the popular Arabic delicacies as well as a range of dishes from international cuisine.
The Iftar buffet featured everything from soups, salads to cold and hot mezze, appetizers, grills, to Ramadan classic Lamb Ouzi, mains and desserts. There were live stations and traditional Shawarma grill. My favorite was the Saj station and live Pasta cooking station.
Loved the huge spread of traditional Arabic desserts as well as cakes, pastries, cookies and puddings. If you want to ditch the desserts and have something healthy, then they have seasonal fruits.
The Iftar buffet also offers traditional Arabic Coffee and if you want to have tea, you need to pay extra.
The live Oudh music enhanced our Iftar experience. They’ve an outdoor seating area as well as camel rides on the beach, a falcon show and a Ramadan night market later in the night.
Whether you live in Sharjah or any other Emirate in UAE, the Beachside Ramadan Tent at Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa is a great place to experience Ramadan.
