Ramadan Kareem to all. The holiest month of the year for Muslims is Ramadan, this year the first day of Ramadan started on May 17th. Its a month of prayers, fasting and charity. To experience the glory of Ramadan is wonderful and I always look forward to this time of the year.
Muslims break their fast after sunset and many restaurants and hotels in Dubai offer Iftar from dusk till 9pm or later. Below is the list of some of the Iftars that I’ve attended and enjoyed.
- Iftar at Al Dawaar Revolving Restaurant
Located in Hyatt Regency in Deira, Al Dawaar is the only revolving restaurant in Dubai. If you are planning for only one Iftar in old Dubai then let it be Al Dawaar. Their Iftar buffet features a lavish spread and also includes Ramadan juices and hot beverages. The view of the old and new Dubai is spectacular, Al Dawaar offers Iftar with a view.

2 . Iftar Buffet at Kalea- Lapita Hotel
Kalea is a Polynesian-inspired all-day-dining restaurant in Lapita Hotel at Dubai Parks and Resorts. Experience a blend of traditional and innovative dishes at the international Iftar buffet with the Polynesian and Arabic themed decor. It has a family friendly atmosphere. Children have a special ‘kids buffet’ and complimentary access to Luna & Nova Kids and Teen club till 10pm. The buffet selection for adults is amazing, you’re literally spoilt for choice.

3 . Royal Iftar at Address Boulevard
The Iftar at Address Boulevard is held in their spacious and luxurious Boulevard Ballroom. They offer an elegantly themed Iftar experience with a long banquet style communal table. For a large group of 6 people or more, there is an option of separate table. The food is served at the table and there is a buffet just for the desserts. Their Iftar includes Ramadan juices and hot beverages. Live Oud Music enhances the overall Ramadan experience.

4 . Iftar Buffet at Sufra in Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights
Sufra the all-day-dining restaurant in Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights offers a sumptuous Iftar. You can expect authentic Arabic delicacies, live cooking stations, grilled meat and more. Sufra is a good option if you’re considering Iftar in Oud Metha or Bur Dubai.

5 . Indian Iftar at Claypot in Citymax Hotel BurDubai
Claypot the authentic Indian restaurant in Citymax Hotel Bur Dubai offers a value for money Iftar buffet with a wide range of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Apart from Indian cuisine they also offer cold and hot Arabic mezze. Their live Jalebi counter is the highlight of their Iftar buffet.

6 . Iftar at Society Cafe and Lounge
If you’re looking for a traditional Middle Eastern food with a twist then look no further than Society Cafe and Lounge in Jumeirah. Their peacock inspired setting that pays homage to the Indian city of Jaipur looks classy and elegant. Their culinary take on Ramadan dishes is worth trying. Society Cafe’s Umm Ali in croissant brioche is not to be missed.

7 . Iftar Set Menu at SpiceKlub and Quattro
How about going vegetarian or vegan for one of the days in Ramadan? SpiceKlub and Quattro which are situated next to each other offer a three course set menu inclusive of beverages. Good food, attentive service and lovely atmosphere is why you need to visit them for Iftar this year.

8 . Iftar at Parlour Boutique
Parlour Boutique, a French bistro in World Trade Center area offers a relaxed sit-down Iftar menu where everything will be served to your table. They also have a Suhoor menu(a la carte). Parlour Boutique has gorgeous setting with scrumptious food. The service is flawless.

9 . Iftar at Dallah Lounge in Emirates Golf Club
Dallah Lounge is the newest Ramadan tent in the city. It is a modern two-tiered tent that is situated in the beautiful Emirates Golf Club. This opulent tent accommodates up to 300 people, with a VIP lounge and LED screen. Their Iftar buffet features soups, salads, cold and hot mezze, starters, grill, lamb ouzi, mains and desserts. Ramadan drinks and hot beverages are also included.

10 . Iftar at Jodhpur Royal Dining in Roda Al Murooj

12 . Iftar buffet at Petals Restaurant in Rose Rayhaan by Rotana
Petals is a casual and all-day-dining restaurant located in the first floor of Rose Rayhaan by Rotana. Whether it is with family or friends or business colleagues, its a good option for Iftar. Petals Restaurant also offers a Suhoor buffet.
