The brunch season is almost coming to an end as the holy month of Ramadan is just around the corner. So my family and I made plans to visit Bamboo Lagoon as we’ve been wanting to visit Bamboo Lagoon for years.
Located in JW Marriott Hotel in Deira, Bamboo Lagoon offers Far Eastern and fusion cuisine. They’re popular for their huge seafood spread, family friendly atmosphere and energetic live band.

As we walked into the venue we were greeted warmly by their friendly staff. The tropical themed decor looks exotic and transports you to a tropical paradise. The venue is spacious with various types of seating arrangement.
Bamboo Lagoon has an extensive buffet, live cooking stations, well stocked bar and a stage for live performance. A band from New Zealand kept us grooving to their awesome music.
The Friday brunch at Bamboo Lagoon starts every Friday from 12:30pm-4pm. The prices start from AED 199 per person. You can not only indulge in the buffet at Bamboo Lagoon, the brunch also covers The Market Place which has international cuisine and Hofbrauhaus, the German restaurant. One brunch and three restaurants…so cool right!
We loved the spread at all the three restaurants. But our favorite was Bamboo Lagoon and their sumptuous buffet had soups, salads, appetizers, mains, barbecue, loads of seafood and desserts. Their sushi, tempura, dim sums, noodles and stir fry is worth trying.
While we were enjoying our food and drinks, our little girl was having a whale of a time in their huge play area. She did coloring, watched movies, learnt to make cookies and cupcakes from their chefs. She also liked the kids buffet spread.
We loved the Friday brunch at Bamboo Lagoon. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the service, the music and the kids entertainment was fantastic.
