Dubai’s dining and entertainment scene has a new addition- Maison Rouge. I had the pleasure of visiting this brand new venue last Thursday. Join me to discover the newest concept in the city.
Situated in the Mezzanine level of Conrad Hotel in Sheikh Zayed Road, Maison Rouge offers a lively dinner and show concept that is a fusion of performance arts and culinary creativity that caters towards Dubai’s diverse cosmopolitan crowd.
The interiors of Maison Rouge is opulent, lush and grand. It features lavish red velvet decor, crystal chandeliers, a stage for performance, a well stocked bar and a DJ Booth. It has a vibe of a chic party.
This dining and entertainment concept, puts a unique spin on the traditional concept. You can expect a fusion of creative cuisine and visual performance arts, which effortlessly unravels the intimate story of the relationship between gastronomy and art.
The talented DJ was spinning amazing house and contemporary music. The show-stopping live performances kept us enthralled throughout the night. There was an eclectic mix of performances from international artists.
The acts included live performances from a saxophonist, pianist, electric violinist, magician and dancers. We throughly enjoyed the contemporary twist of Parisian burlesque, cabaret, jazz and modern ballet. We were dazzled by the colorful costumes of the artists and the high-voltage music.
Our dining experience started with a bit of drama as there was molecular gastronomy involved. Our amuse bouche was a visually appealing Sphere served in roses.
Maison Rouge has a great variety of signature cocktails, mocktails, wines, champagne and other spirits. We ordered some of their signature cocktails like Make Make, Maison Rouge, Guru Dutt, Xica Da Silva, Captain Kidd and Espresso Martini.
All the cocktails were handcrafted to perfection. They not only tasted great, but looked gorgeous as well. Difficult to tell which was our favorite cocktail as each one of them were fantastic.
Coming to the food, we ordered Burrata with pesto & tomatoes, Watermelon with Feta Cheese & onion Jam and Smoky Skewers for our appetizers. All the three appetizers were light, flavorful and delicious.
For our mains, we had Homemade Pasta with Truffle, Mushroom Risotto and Sweet Potato Chips as our side. Loved their homemade pasta which was oh-so-delicious. The risotto was well-made and wholesome.
We relished their indulgent and divine tasting Honey Cake and Tiramisu for dessert.
We liked their menu which offers a variety of international flavors inspired by various kinds of cooking techniques from different corners of the world. The food and the drinks that we tried at Maison Rouge was packed with great taste, distinct flavor, that was beautifully plated and artistically presented.
Maison Rouge offers a fun yet sophisticated experience, like no other venue in Dubai. A must-visit dinner and show experience.
